We got off the train and Malfoy and I separated from Diggory as a tall man with a huge build called out for first years. As we stepped onto the dimly lit platform, the chilly air sent goosebumps up my exposed neck. I shivered a bit then followed the hairy giant away from the platform who had nothing but a lamp in his hands.

The winding path made it a bit difficult to keep up, and I slipped a bit on some slippery wet grass then heard a snicker from Malfoy. Annoyed, I scowled and ended up jabbing him in the side with my arm. 'Ow,' he grumbled annoyed. I snickered and stuck my tongue out playfully.

We all followed in a single file until coming to a complete halt at a glistening lake, which reflected the moon, which have it a little vibrance as it danced on the ripples, across the lake there stood a towering castle with several turrets.

Four people were instructed a boat, and Malfoy and I boarded one, whilst a boy with the blondest hair and pale skin entered the boat, as well as a dark skinned boy, with dark brown, neatly combed hair.

He sneered before commenting, 'Seems you made friends, Xavier, I thought everyone ran for the hills when they saw you.' His bluish grey eyes, similar to Xavier's snapped to me and he commented, 'Associating with this type on the first day? Really?' he sneered and I carefully observed them and noticed they looked quite similar, but Xavier, was more quiet and approachable- compared to him of course.

The other guy whispered something to the blonde and they both snickered, and I saw Xavier's fist clench. What do they mean by that type, and why does Xavier look like he'll attack the other boy by his neck. This person isn't the one who was in the train with me awhile ago. He seemed mad, but intimidated at the same time.

'Are you a pureblood?' the snickering boy said after coming to a stop. 'No,' I said flatly at his face before putting a hand out and running my hand through the cool water, making ripples, as the little boat glided over the serene lake,'My parents are muggles.'

I still don't see what the big deal was- blood doesn't make you not in the slightest bit superior.

He scoffed before holding out his hand and said, 'Draco Malfoy,' he turned his head to Xavier who was staring at the full moon, 'and this one here, is my brother.'

Before I could shake his hand however he pulled it back quickly in disgust and glared at me, then laughed with the other boy, adding, 'This here is Blaise Zabini.'

'Pleasure,' I said briefly after petting my snake, which had woken up once again with all the chattering.

Now that I've come to think of it, Professor McGonnagal wrote me a note to go to Hagrid for it's care, and I've been giving it raw eggs for two days now. I'll have to find time first thing in the morning to go.

As the first boats came to some curtained ivy, a loud gruff voice from in front instructed us to bend our heads, so that we did, then they passed through a dark tunnel, and we came closer to the tall cliff on which the castle stood. Suddenly a rush of butterflies filled my stomach, and my fantasies about my exciting new life hair flooded my mind.

We got off the boats and the other two boys disappeared into the crowd, whilst Xavier and we followed Hagrid up a flight of stairs then came face to face with an oak door.

'I'm nervous,'I whispered to Xavier who replied,'I mean, all eyes will be on you once your name's to be called to the front, I would be too.'

I glared at him and said,'You're acting like your name's not going to be called too.' He was about to make another one of his snarky remarks when the door swung open, and our focus travelled to Professor McGonnagal with her usual calm composure, emerald robes, and her iconic stern expression.
