Soon after my pet snake went and sleep yesterday afternoon, grandma and grandpa came back and I informed them about the platform, we were now off in grandpa's car, and in fifteen minutes my train would be leaving.

Suddenly the car came to a halt, sending everyone forward. I managed to hold on to the snake in case it flew forward. Butterflies filled my stomach as I hesitantly got off the car and grandpa helped take my owl, which was in the trunk, and dropped it down on the curb accidentally, the poor bird to let out a distressed hoot.

I took my trunk, and grandpa held grandma's hand leading her to the platform, before coming to a halt?

'Well-this is where we say goodbye love,' grandma said as she pecked my forehead.

'I'll miss you,' I hugged her back and she asked with worried eyes, 'Do you think you can manage on your own?' I nodded, trying to look mature and strong in front of them and grandpa ruffled my hair. 'Be good kiddo' I smiled, and blinked back tears threatening to fall.

They left soon after and I looked down at my wristwatch which showed that the platform would be closing in five minutes. I got a few odd stares from passers-by, before I huffed up the courage to run through. Closing my eyes, I ran through the brick wall like McGonnagal had instructed me not giving it a second thought, slightly biting down on my lips with nervousness as I neared.

The sound of people conversing was still heard, but when I opened my eyes again, I was in a completely different environment. I suddenly felt sick, as a bright red train with the words 'Hogwarts Express' in gold was before me.

I hurriedly pushed her cart through the crowd of wizards, witches, cats, toads and finally made my way to the midst where the train door was

I hurriedly pushed her cart through the crowd of wizards, witches, cats, toads and finally made my way to the midst where the train door was. I struggled to offload her trunk and finally, after many attempts, finally someone approached stopped and helped.

'Do you need help with that trunk? 'a boy with fiery red hair sounded out.

I flushed and replied, 'Yes please.'

'George!'

Soon, another red-head appeared and they both carried the luggage into the train. She hopped onto the train after him.

'Hello,' he beamed, 'I'm Fred Weasley,' he put his arm out to shake and I shook it back retorting, 'Arabella Crawforth.'

'Is that a snake?' he asked curiously, pointing to the snake who had coiled itself around my neck and was sleeping soundly.

'Want to touch it?' I asked.

He nodded and raised his hand slowly to touch the snake. His arm jolted back at first, I assumed because of it's somewhat cold scales. 'What do you think?'

'Bloodly cold, that's what,' we both laughed and the red-head from earlier whom I assumed was George, shouted 'Tarantula, third compartment, now!'and they both left as George pulled Fred by his arm that draped around his neck. He waved and I returned it as they disappeared into one of the compartments. I swallowed the forming lump in my throat and searched desperately for an empty compartment.
