'Albus, it's already been too much that she's been lied to, you want to add another reason to not trust us to the list? She doesn't even know her real parents!' argued Minerva.

'She's not old enough to handle the truth,' spat Dumbledore.

'You're all afraid of a child?! Who is she to trust when you're hiding the very fibers of her life, her parents, her name, her capabilities, and you expect her not to get mad?' retorted McGonnagal in distaste.

'There's no doubt that if that person returns he'll come looking for her, no doubt manipulate her into joining their side, then she'll begin to lose her very morals! He'll only use the fact that we lied to her to his advantage!' Minerva argued, 'Tell her the truth.'

'What? We tell an eleven year old that her biological mother was killed while trying to hide her from her maniacal short excuse of a father?!'That the ministry sent her off to muggles and hid her identity as a witch for eleven years because it was for her to avoid the backlash the wizarding world would have on a child for her father's actions?!'argued Dumbledore.

'We all know damn well when the ministry took custody of her it wasn't under that ridiculous excuse, that's rubbish!' spat Snape, his dark eyes locking with Dumbledore's.

'That's exactly what we tell the child Dumbledore! We can't keep her here in this castle forever!' McGonnagal pointed out.

'They were obviously scared of the power she unknowingly possesses, the power her father abused and turned into what he is! The cunningness that naturally runs through her very blood! What they assumed she would do if she becomes obsessed with the concept of power and immortality like her father!' Dumbledore shouted, standing up from his chair.

'Ok, we tell her the truth when the right time comes, and we teach her, teach her what do to when he comes, guide her along the right path,' McGonnagal suggested.

'It's no doubt he'll be coming here either for the boy or the girl, he'd also want to clear all things in his path to power Dumbledore, and this includes this very institution,' Slughorn concluded.

'Well.....there's no helping it, we'll tell her when the time is right-but I knew Tom while teaching here, if she has anything like his brilliant mind, no doubt she'll figure it out on her own,' said Dumbledore.

'We must prepare for some unsteady waters here at Hogwarts,' Minerva added before turning into a cat and vanishing out of the office. The other teachers scattered out of the office, leaving only Hagrid here with a snake.

'Professor, found this hungry thing slithering along the halls, can I bring him to my hut?' asked Hagrid, looking down at the snake.

'Ah, that's Miss Crawforth's, I'll be sure to inform her that you have the snake when she comes looking for it-no doubt,' said Dumbledore waving his hand signalling him to go ahead.

'Quite a beauty aren't you?' murmured Hagrid as he exited the office while looking at the sleeping snake.

'Filch and Mrs. Norris will be making their rounds soon no doubt, we better hurry,' Cedric said, now lighting the dark hallways with a simple 'Lumos' spell.

'Filch? Mrs. Norris?' I asked, furrowing my eyebrows in confusion.

Cedric chuckled while looking behind an old, dusty trophy-case.' Forgot you were an ickle firs' year,' he said making a funny face at the last part. I rolled my eyes and something caught my eye in the trophy case, the name 'Tom Riddle' was written on several of the trophies and medals.
