It was a hot and sticky afternoon. You and your boyfriend, Rob, sat on your plaid red picnic blanket above the overgrown summer grass. You guys were alone together in a field with grass as tall as your knees. The sun shone brightly throughout the pale meadow but you and Rob were covered in the shade from the tall willow tree above you. Your head was rested on Rob's shoulder as an occasional breeze blew lightly into your guy's faces. There was no other civilization in sight, just grass for as far as you could see. The world seemed completely silent except for the hum of Rob's soft voice. "My girl," he sang quietly into your ear. "Talkin' about my girl..." You turned your head and faced him. He smiled at you and gently tucked a piece of hair behind your ear.

You put your head on his chest and listened. You heard the pounding of his heart. It was a steady beat that wasn't fast nor slow, just relaxed and calm. You lifted your head back up and scooted up closer so your faces were almost touching. You both just stared at each other taking in each other features and beauty. He was gorgeous. He had to be the most perfect boy you've ever seen for sure. And you always knew that since the minute you saw him. But it was like you were seeing him again for the time, seeing how he was beautiful and unique. You were in awe of him. His features looked perfectly sculptured by an angel, like he was almost too good to be true. You reached out and the back of my hand grazed his cheek. He smiled as you finished and repeated the same motion to you. His hands were soft and gentle yet were strong and masculine. You worried how he didn't know how charming he was. In his eyes, he was just another person but to you, he was the closest thing there'll ever be to perfect.

Rob shifted his body, getting up from the blanket and wandering towards the bed of flowers. You glanced up to see what he doing, but couldn't tell since his back was turned. You gazed down, playing with the hem of your dress. Your eyelids felt heavy and you just didn't have the strength to hold them open much longer.

You awoke to a kiss planted on your forehead, and Rob staring at you with admiration. He passed you a bouquet of a random assortment of dandelions, daisies, and other flowers he plucked from the field. You smiled at him, a small twinkle in your eyes, "Thank you, they're beautiful." You brought the flowers to your nose, sniffing the light floral fragrance, causing you to sneeze.

Rob threw back his head and laughed before pecking your lips, "Not as beautiful as you, darling."
