You just moved to Castle Rock and honestly you were disappointed. The whole town just looked run down and pretty boring. Your new house was pretty small and plain, but yet felt comfortable.
It was the first day of school and you just finished brushing your long brown hair. You were trying to look your best and make a good first impression for your new school. You quickly grabbed your books and ran out the door.
You swiftly walked to school and ran up to your homeroom. The teacher wasn't here yet and the room was erupted in talking and laughter. You glanced around the room and briefly studied your classmates. All the seats were filled expect for this one in the back of the class.
You slowly walked to your seat and put your books down. You noticed the boy behind you staring at you with a smirk as you took your seat. You blushed when realizing how handsome he was. He had light blond hair with icy blue eyes and a smirk that caused butterflies in your stomach.
You turned away and awkwardly pretended to read as everyone else caught up with their friends. It was only a minute before you felt a pounding on your back. Great, only the first 5 minutes of school and some kid is already kicking my seat. You tried to ignore him, but the longer you didn't do anything, the harder he kicked. Eventually, you turned around and gave the boy a look. All he did was smirk at you with a wink. You turned around and continued your book until you could feel with feet banging the back of your chair again. This time you turned around and looked him straight in the eye, "Hey could you please stop banging my seat?"
He smiled, "Why of course, beautiful."
You tried not to smile back but you could feel your mouth curving into a grin.
"Alright class, settle down." The teacher walked in and the whole class became so silent that you could hear a pin drop. The whole time she talked you couldn't really pay attention. You were just so anxious to talk to that boy again.
When the bell rang, you hopped out of your seat and turned around, expecting the boy to be there. You were disappointed to see that he already left. You gathered your things and headed for the door. You were extremely surprised to see the boy waiting for you in the hall.
"Hi," you smiled while your checks turned a light pink. "Why'd you wait for me?"
"I mean who wouldn't want to see a beautiful face like yours again," he smirked as you turned red. "I also never picked up your name."
"Aubree," you said, extending a hand. Instead of taking your hand, the boy kissed your lips.
"Ace Merril," he smiled. "Wanna come with me to a party this weekend?" He handed you a paper with his number before you could answer. He shouted, "Call me!" before quickly running down the hall.
