The palace glowed brightly, almost blindingly. It showed even brighter against the ink black sky. The ink black sky was just as breathtaking. The stars stretched to infinity, and the moon was a pale crescent.

Sophie Elizabeth Foster sat on the roof of a rickety old building, watching everybody from a distance. Ever since she had put on that necklace, she felt different.

Gisela's words rang in her ears constantly, giving her a headache.

Yes Moonlark, I know the pain, the secrets, the nightmares. And I have the answer to all of them?

She did know. Gisela Sencen never made a claim without a plan or proof. This time, her proof was that necklace.

It made her feel hollow. Something about it was different. Like a name that was there but she just couldn't grasp.

Her past

"Stupid universe," she grumbled.

Unlatching the necklace, she placed it on her palm and gently brushed the blue stone set in the center. Sophie then held it up.

"I, Sophie Foster, swear to find out every secret you are holding."

Silence. She meant it. Sophie was tired of the secrets, the pain. She just wanted the truth. Sophie had come a long way since coming to the Lost Cities. She had faced a countless number of things.

The Black Swan was wrong. She wasn't weak. She was far stronger then anyone could ever imagine.

Queen Sophie Elizabeth Foster was ready. She was no longer the Moonlark. She was herself.

And the Queen was ready.

Sophie was going to find every secret, even if she had to tear apart her reality.
