Mason looks at Lucas. "Baby! What's wrong with me?" Mason starts to cry. The doctor looks at Mason. "I'm sorry Mason... You have type 2 of Cancer. You have to stay here for about a month" Mason sobs hard as Lucas rubs his back. The doctor leaves the room. Lucas looks at Mason. "I'm sorry baby.. Let's go upstairs" Mason nods and walks upstairs as Mason lays down as Lucas lays next to him. "Cuddle?" Mason asks. "Yeah of course babe." Lucas cuddles up next to Mason. Mason falls asleep at last. Lucas smiles knowing Mason can finally get some rest.

~ About an hour or so later ~

Mason wakes up and looks at Lucas, who was asleep at the time. Mason looks at the ceiling and thinks. "I'm in so much pain. I just wanna scream. Lucas doesn' t even understand how much pain I'm even in. He probably doesn't even care..." Mason stops thinking when a doctor walks in and sees Lucas cuddling next to Mason. "Oh! I'm sorry. Did I interrupt yall?" the doctor asks softly. "No ma'am. He's just sleeping and comforting me." Mason smiles. "Okay. Well we have to run a test on you to see the medicine you need to help your dizziness. Then we might have to get an MRI on you too." The doctor gets a needle and wipes Mason's arm down. "You ready sir?" the doctor asks. Mason nods as the doctor puts the needle in and then takes it out and puts a bandaid on him. Mason looks at the bandaid and smiles. "Thank you doc." The doctor smiles back and nods leaving the room. "You are very welcome sir."

Lucas wakes up and rubs his eyes. "Morning baby" Mason laughs. "You mean good afternoon?" Mason looks at the time. "It's 3pm. I fell asleep around 1 or 2pm. Then you fell asleep probably like a couple minutes after me" Lucas nods, stretching. Mason moves his arm forgetting he got a shot there and winces. "Owy-" Lucas looks at Mason like ''are you okay?" Mason nods "I got a shot while you were asleep. It's so they can see what kind of medicine would help my dizziness and stop my blood pressure from going high and then low." Lucas nods. "Understandable, just don't move your arm a lot. It will make your arm sore. But move it once in a while so your arm doesn't go numb, if you know what I mean." Mason nods in understanding. Lucas gets up to use the bathroom. Mason stares at the wall for a couple minutes not knowing what to do. His body went numb and couldn't feel anything. Was this from the shot? He asked himself. Lucas comes back and sits on a separate chair. Not the bed. Mason turns his head so he's looking at Lucas.

"Yes baby?" Lucas waves to Mason. "B-b m-my w-whole-e body w-wen-t-t n-numb" Mason stutters a lot. Lucas gets worried. "What do you mean by that?" Lucas shakes his head. Mason shakes but you can barely see him shaking since his whole body is like paralized. "Body numb" Mason says mumbled but Lucas could hear. Lucas nods and gets a doctor/nurse. A nurse rushes to the room and lays Mason down slowly and moves his body. Mason winces cause he could start to feel pain. "I can feel the pain now, miss." Mason bites his bottom lip and tears up as the nurse stops. "You barely moved your body so it automatically went numb. Cancer will do that to you. So you also have to watch out for that. Even if it's kicking you in the ass and you have no motivation, ask your boyfriend to help you get up and move. If you don't and your home and you don't get your boyfriend, your body will numb up and it will be like you're frozen in ice and you cannot move, which will lead to being paralized. This can also be permanent. That's the really bad part. But for the most part, you are doing really good. The cancer is sadly still in your body, and yes it is very deadly and there is a 50% chance you will survive and 50% you won't survive. Most patients on this floor with cancer, do NOT survive. We only had like 3 children, able to go home cancer free. They were in here for about 2-3 years. So yeah. You'll be the 1 out of 3 kids that have survived cancer, if you do. Which will be most likely." The nurse stops and leaves the room.

Mason giggles. "She talks too much, jeeze" Lucas looks at Mason smiling. "True. I mean they are big talkers since they work here." Mason lays back. "God- I'm in so much pain.. " Mason winces badly but sits up going to the bathroom. "I need to shave my head... I have patches of hair missing" Mason looks at himself in the mirror. Luas walks over to him. "Want me to shave your head baby? I know it's gonna suck" Mason nods as Lucas turns on the razor and shaves Mason's head. Mason looks up at Lucas who puts the razor to his head and shaves his curly hair off. Mason gasps loudly and starts to cry. "Baby! Why did you shave your hair?!" Lucas smiles and kneels down to Mason's height since Mason was short. "I did it so you're not alone baby.. I didn't want you to feel left out" Mason tears up more and more and hugs Lucas tightly. "Thank you baby! You really didn't have to do that, you know that right? Even though I have autism and feel out of the crowd, you didn't really have to do that.." Lucas shakes his head. "Baby, that's how much I love you. Okay?" Mason smiles and kisses Lucas's cheek. "I love you a lot... " Lucas hugs Mason tightly.

~ Two months later when it's July~

Mason wakes up stretching looking at the date. "OMG! It's the day I get to go home!" Lucas wakes up driving to the hospital since he couldn't stay the night before. Mason gets up not feeling dizzy so he gets confused. "Hm? I'm not dizzy anymore... That's new, maybe I fought the cancer off!" Mason dances around feeling no more pain. Mason goes to the bathroom taking off his wig to see he has hair. Mason squeals and jumps around. "I did it!"

Lucas knocks on the door waiting for Mason to answer. Mason gets ready and answers the door. "Baby!" Mason hugs Lucas tightly. "I'm out now!" Mason smiles. "I'm able to go home finally!" Mason smiles happily "I need to pack my things now"

Mason runs to his mini closet and gets changed without Lucas looking because he knew if Mason saw it, he'd keep staring. Lucas goes to the bathroom and looks at his hair and brushes it. Mason sees Lucas and smiles big and keeps staring at Lucas. Lucas comes out of the bathroom and sees Mason staring at him. Lucas jumps. "Oh hey there haha" Lucas goes up on the bed as Mason lays next to him." Cuddles?" Mason giggles. "Baby... we are going home soon, so we can't. I have to finish cleaning up.." Mason's voice lowers down. Lucas gets worried. "What's wrong? You seem like you don't wanna leave the hospital.." Mason looks over at Lucas. "I'm sorry, I just really loved it here for the 3 months I've been here" Lucas nods in understanding. "I understand. Let's take it slow and easy and we can leave in an hour, let's start off with the bed"

*After cleaning the hospital room up*

Mason looks up at Lucas. "Thank you for helping me throughout this... I am really thankful..." Mason looks down at his feet. Lucas puts Mason's head up. "I love you, tons. I am going to be by your side no matter what happens or what happens between us:" Mason smiles at what Lucas says as he thinks to himself "He is so amazing... I know he's the one. He won't leave me, he's been with me.." Mason hugs Lucas tightly. "I'm ready to go home baby..." Lucas nods and walks outside with Mason and the stuff they have and go home.
