My Understandings (Austlan Cashby)

Chapter 15

*Austin's POV*

"Come on Alan" I said, breaking away from his lips. "Let's go back inside." 

He pouted, "Do we have to?" 

My phone beeped before I could answer. I checked the screen and saw it was Tino: 

-Dude, you might want to get your ass in here. Not good- 

I gulped and showed Alan the text. "Yeah, we do." 

"What do you think it could be?" he asked. 

"I don't know, but we're about to find out." I replied, and dragged him inside. I found Tino and Phil sitting at a table, Aaron nowhere to be found.  

"What's going on?" I asked Tino hesitantly. He nodded toward the bar. 

Thank fuck I decided to stay sober tonight. 

"Is that...?" Alan asked, wide eyed. 

"Yup." I confirmed. I clenched and unclenched my fists, trying to keep my cool. 

Indeed it was, my cheating whore of an ex-wife, Gielle, hitting on my band's bassist. Just my luck. 

"Want us to go with you?" Alan asked. 

"No, I got it. Thanks love." I turned to Tino, "Meet us outside." 

He nodded, grabbed Phil's hand, and left with Alan and his boyfriend. I took in a deep breath and slowly pushed through the crowd over to the bar. 

"Come on Aaron, time to leave." I told him, not even glancing at the bitch I used to call mine. 

"AUSTIN?!" I winced at the screechy voice, "YOU KNOW HIM?!" 

I nodded, "Yup, he's our band's bassist. Now leave him the fuck alone." I spat. Aaron looked at me, confused. 

"Well, he's interested in me, not you. You had your chance Austin." She replied innocently. 

"Good thing I'm no longer interested in you then." I pulled Aaron up, so we could leave. "Oh, by the way, Gielle. I want my ring back." 

Both she and Aaron stared at me with their mouths hanging open. I have a lot of explaining to do when we get back to the bus. 

"Fine! Have your stupid ring back! I never loved you anyway!" she took the ring off her finger and threw it at me. She turned around and stormed away. I don't even know why she decided on keeping it that long anyway. I slipped the ring into my pocket; I had an idea, and I needed it for later. 

"CHEATING BITCH!" I yelled after her, and booked it out of there to meet up with the rest of the guys.

"What the fuck was that about?" Aaron asked me, once we got outside. 

I sighed, "Long story short, she's my ex-wife. I found out last year that she had been cheating on me ever since we got together. So I divorced her." I shrugged. I absolutely despised talking about it. 

Alan came over and kissed me. "But you're better off now, right?" 

"Right." I smiled and placed another kiss on his lips. 

"Can you guys please not make out in front of us?" Phil teased. 

"Why not? You did when you told us about yourselves." Alan teased back. 

"GUYS! can we just focus on getting back to the bus?" Aaron interrupted. 

I nodded, "yeah, I'm tired. Come on!"

*Aaron's POV*

Gielle and I had really hit it off. We had spent the last half hour talking about life and how she had gotten divorced last year. I was actually having fun, and was about to ask her to come back with me tonight, when Austin came over. 

"Come on Aaron, time to leave." He told me. 

I was about to reply, when Gielle interrupted me, "AUSTIN?! YOU KNOW HIM?!" She screeched. 

"Yup, he's our band's bassist. Now leave him the fuck alone." Austin spat at her. I looked at him, confused. Why was he acting this way toward her, and how did she know him? 

"Well, he's interested in me, not you. You had your chance Austin." She retorted. What was going on with these two? Did they have a thing? 

"Good thing I'm no longer interested in you then." Austin replied smoothly, pulling me up to leave. He turned back around to face her, "oh by the way Gielle, I want my ring back" 

My mouth dropped open; I couldn't believe it. When Gielle told me about the divorce, I didn't think it was with Austin. Austin was the sweetest person I knew. What could've gone wrong? 

"Fine! Have your stupid ring back! I never loved you anyway!" she took the ring off her finger and threw it at him.  

She turned and stormed away before Austin could say anything else, but that didn't stop him from yelling "CHEATING BITCH" after her.  

Great, I almost picked up a cheater.
