𝐍𝐘𝐗 𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐎𝐏 speeds the following morning. Last evening she had to face the nonstop investigation, or rather interrogation from Parvati and Lavender; they were fascinated with everything that was happening with Harry and the Daily Prophet, along with the gossip floating around the school. There was a moment where Parvati (being a half-blooded witch) compared Nyx and Harry to Romeo and Juliet, much to the confusion of Lavender. Nyx thought it was all absurd. Voldemort was back and no one believed it to be true, he was just lurking in the shadows gaining power and they were more focused on Nyx's non-existent romantic relationship with Harry?
It was early morning as Nyx stuck out of the castle and took a walk around the grounds, she needed the fresh air and to be away from people for a while. What was she supposed to do? Hermione and Ron were busy being prefects, Harry needed some time to get over his overwhelming anger, and sending letters to April was risky since she was in hiding. What if someone tracked the letter back to Grimmauld Place? What if they also found Sirius? It was a combination of these reasons that made Nyx feel lonely ... and yet here she was feeling as though she needed space away from people. Nyx almost found it humourous how ... unnecessarily confusing her feelings were. Nevertheless, outside doing make her feel better, especially being in nature—it was calming and eye-opening. With everything changing and being so inconsistent lately, it was calming to find that the Hogwarts grounds were as they had always been.
Nyx laid in the grass, staring up at the grey skies she thought about the conversation she and the rest of the girls had last night.
"I heard Seamus isn't speaking to Harry anymore," Lavender had said yesterday evening. "Something about Harry insulting his Mum."
"Yeah, Seamus's Mum buys into the Daily Prophet," Parvati explained further. "His family thinks Harry's mad. I wouldn't be surprised if Seamus thinks the same—that probably set Harry off."
Nyx sighed, if she didn't get up soon it was going to rain down on her; she shut her eyes. It didn't come as a surprise to Nyx that Seamus thought this way, after all, he been actively avoiding her since the news came out that she was Voldemort's daughter—they hadn't spoken in months. Nyx was never very close with Seamus, but they used to be on friendly, polite terms but one stupid article managed to ruin that.
Harry must feel awful, Nyx concluded. Seamus shared a dormitory with Harry, and they were much closer friends than Nyx had ever been with Seamus. It was definitely going to be awkward.
"No matter, they'll all know he's right in the end..." Nyx whispered to herself miserably.
