It's been a few days, Halloween is only half a week away, and I have no idea how to kill my teacher.
I don't usually get this antsy about a deadline, especially when I set it for myself, but this is different. Sure, I kind of made up with Nagisa, but that still didn't mean I wanted to stay in E class. Of course I mean no offense to him and his class, but I still doubt I'd want to have this on my transcripts.
Other than that, I still had this dumb Hallows ball on my mind. It was rather an irritating subject to say the least. However, when mother agreed I could bring Rio, I felt a lot better about it. I had a plan to make my brother fall for her, though knowing her boyish attitude... I'd need more than my wits to accomplish that, I'd need a miracle.
"Hey, Nakumura?" I called.
We were sitting in an outdoor coffee café taking a break from school work we were working on in the library just a few steps down.
Rio lifted her her head from the manue she was previously reading. "Yeah?"
I rolled my eyes. I'd been trying to teach her proper manner, but it seemed a little hard for her understanding as she was barley grasping "please" and "thank you". "I though I told you, 'when you answer someone you address their name as well."
She sweat dropped and rubbed the back of her neck, "look I know you want me to act posh, but in all honesty I'm trying my best!" She pleaded.
I retracted my stern eyes and let a claim smile take over my features. "You don't have to want nice, you just have to play nice." I stated.
"So, in other word act?"
I nodded approvingly.
She looked as if she understood well enough and went back to reading the menu.
I cleared my throat. "Rio."
She looked up, "Yes, Y/n?"
I smiled, "much better." I did feel bad about trying to change her personality and slang, but if she was to survive this ball, let alone the dinner party after she needed desperately to learn when it was and was not appropriate to be herself. Though I didn't want her to loose herself in the process.
Her full attention was in me, her hand placed perfectly in her other. My mother had briefly met Rio so she hadn't a clue of how Rio really acted and I was determined to definitely keep it that way.
"I think I'm getting the hang of this Y/n." She smiled calmly.
"Right!" I said almost smacking myself in the face. "Your grammar."
Rio nodded as the waiter came up to us. The waiter took down our orders and Rio surprised me when she ha cherry order on full ready because of ho many times o had interrupted her menu reading.
"I'm sorry." I sigh.
She shook her head, "it's fine I kind of know how your family is." She gave a halfhearted smile.
"What do you mean?" I inquired as our drinks were passed back to us.
She sighed and looked to the side, the smile on her face dropping a little. "Last year I got top score in English." I nodded. "And we'll, your brother wasn't to happy about it."
I new what she was talking about, she beat me as well, though I didn't confront her about it like I'm guessing Shū had.
"Was he really angry with you?" My frown being apparent on my face.
She finally looked back at me. "That's just it."
I lied my head in confusion, aging her to go on.
