Chapter 18: I'd go anywhere with you

Sam's POV

Things are finally better between Colby and I. He means everything to me and I know now that I love him. He's the one for me and I plan to spend the rest of my life with him.

"Hey Sam, you ready?"

"Hey Colbs. Yeah, you going to tell me where we're going?" 

"Nope, let's go," I say.

I follow him out to his car and climb in beside him. He holds my hand while he drives. A few hours later, we arrive at a hotel in San Francisco. Colby goes to check us in while I sit in the car. He comes out fifteen minutes later and we head to our hotel room. He unlocks the room and we head inside.

"Colby, what's going on?"

"I thought we could use a nice trip away. I also found a cool abandoned place near here that we can visit tomorrow," he says.

I walk over to him and pull him in my arms, hugging him tightly.

"What's this for?" he asks, wrapping his arms around me.

Instead of answering, I press my lips to his. He kisses me back almost immediately. I pull away first.

"I love you Colby."

He sighs with happiness, "I love you too Sam."

"Kiss me."

"Don't have to tell me twice," he says, pulling me to him.

I lose myself in the kiss. He lifts me up and carries me to the bed, still kissing me. We lay on the bed kissing until we need to breathe. I lay my head on his chest and he wraps one arm around me, the other's fingers running through my hair. I close my eyes and relax into his touch.

"Sammy, never forget how much you mean to me."

"Hmm, don't worry I won't."

I roll off Colby and curl into his side. His arm wraps around me again and I fall asleep.

I wake up to Colby bringing in food. We sit at the table and eat. We get dressed after eating and head out to the car. He drives us to an abandoned building and we get out. He leads me to the way in and we climb to the top. We film the view of San Francisco for a bit then turn on the camera off. These are the moments that I love, just the two of us with no cameras. We sit on the edge and Colby pulls me into his arms, our lips meeting. We pull away and head downstairs to get back to the hotel. We get lunch and that's when Colby asks me.

"Sam, I want to make this official. I love you."

"Of course, I love you too," I say.

After lunch, we head back home but everything is changed now. For the better.
