Chapter 11: What happened?... uh.. Tequila.

P.O.V.: M

Dr Smith, I mean Jackson was acting weird after the awkward conversation with him. Why is he interested if I'm dating anyone? I shake the thoughts and head to the bar to catch up with others.

"What were you talking about? seemed a bit cosy" Heather points out
"It was as if he was jealous of seeing you with Ace", Gavin laughs
"I agree it did seem like that" Isabella joins.
"It was nothing. He was just congratulating me for today's catch that's it so let's move on," I say dismissing any talk about me and Jackson
"Sheesh okay"

My favourite part of the night started- the drinking games. I started drinking in high school something I'm not proud of obviously. It was on the field day when Nick snuck in a few drinks for us and a monster was created. I later discovered tequila to be the love of my life.

"M you already know the rules and for you guys, this game is really simple" Harvey starts and Ace continues "Whoever can drink maximum shorts of their choice without falling off the chair against their opponent will not have to pay for their drinks. So choose your partners carefully" Ace ends it with a smirk.

"You are teaming up with me," Heather says while looking at me
"I'm sorry love but that's not possible M and I have the biggest drinking capacity here and will compete against each other...using tequila" Ace interrupts
"I am sorry H but I have to partner up with Ace the last time we played neither of us gave up and were kicked out of the bar so this time I have to show him who's the boss"
"In your dreams M we both know who is gonna win"
"Let's see bub" I grin.

Everyone now has teamed up. Harvey vs Anthony, Amanda vs heather, Isabelle vs Gavin and ace vs me.
we all sit across our opponent "Let the game begin" Harvey announces and the drinking starts.
Jack and the girl were serving the drinks as fast as they could.

the first 7 rounds were just like drinking water for me and for ace too. in the 7th round Heather gave up and Amanda won.
around the 12th round, I started feeling the warmness inside me. Isabelle took the 13th shot in her hand but fell and lost but Gavin continued drinking till the 15th round.

Many people now surrounded the remaining four of us. Harvey and Anthony both hated to lose so it was fun watching them they chose vodka for drinking. Around the 17th round, Anthony became tipsy and was slurring words

"Belle is so pretty, warm and kind" Isabelle was wasted herself to pay any attention but I could hear him it will be fun to watch his face when I tell him tomorrow or whenever I get over the hangover. Finally, Anthony blacked out and Harvey won *as expected*
Amanda was the soberest out of all of us so she took care of Harvey while Heather decided to let Isabelle, Gavin and Anthony crash at her place
"I will take them and head home I don't want nazi to not see all 5 of us missing tomorrow and at the rate, you are drinking I doubt you will come in the day after tomorrow"
"Don't worry about me I will come in tomorrow also," I say now slurring my words. It's been 24 rounds and neither Ace nor I plan on giving up.
"Hey I'm not coming with you, I found someone to take me to his apartment, " Gavin says while grinning. Gavin points towards a handsome man who seems to be waiting for him.
"Nice catch dude, " Heather says.
"I fucking know right. I'm not gonna sleep tonight, " Gavin winks and head towards that man. Dang good for him.
"Don't forget we have rounds tomorrow, " Heather screams and remind Gavin but I'm not sure if he heard her.

Ace was smooth and casual as usual he was flirting with two girls at the same time while I was Instagramming and drinking.

At around the 30th round, Ace said
"It's done now I need to stay sober enough to satisfy miss.. hey what's your name?"
"It's Valarie," the girl with purple hair and goth attire said
"Yes I need to satisfy miss Valerie so I will head to my hotel with her now but know that this game is still not done" he winks and leaves before I have a chance to say something
"Don't forget to pay dumbass" I scream
"Yeah, obviously and who will you go home with? I'm not gonna let you walk alone at this time of the night in this state of yours "
"You go I will find someone," I say and at the same time Cristian joins the conversation
" I'll take her to her apartment"
"And who the hell are you? I'm not gonna let some random dude take my friend" Ace objects
"Ace it's okay he is my boss and a friend he can accompany me," I say and look at Ace hoping to convince him. I don't want him to spoil his night for my sake.
"Alright but I want you to call me as soon as you reach home or tell Amanda to text me"

"Yes I will" I hug him and then we part ways

"You don't have to accompany me Dr Avery I am sober enough to walk home"
"After watching you drink like a beast I'm not going to let you walk alone and your friend did threaten me so it's my responsibility now"
Cristian Smith is going to walk me home.. am I dreaming or worse hallucinating?

"M what are you doing?" he says and I realise my hand is on his face
"I was just checking if you're real or am I hallucinating"
he laughs and says "Now I'm definitely not gonna let you go"
he says and I start to feel warm and fuzzy.

I see someone walking towards us but not able to identify him.
