Claire's P.O.V. (The next day)

I hear a meaty cough from the other room and I open my eyes. I then hear a sort of gagging sound, and that's when I get worried. I stand up and follow the sound of the noise to find myself at the bathroom door. It's closed, so I knock.

"Braden, are you okay?" I ask.

"I'm fi-" he begins to say before he starts coughing violently and making a gagging noise.

"I'm coming in." I say as I open the door. I find him on his knees with his head in the toilet. "Oh my god, Braden." I say as I kneel down next to him and gently rub his back. He continues to cough and throw up.

What happened to him?

He finally finishes and leans back against the bathtub. His face is pale, sweaty, and he looks like he's about to pass out.

"I'll be right back." I say.

I quickly go back out to the kitchen and grab a towel, wet it with cold water, and go back in the bathroom. Braden has his head in the toilet again and he's making horrible noises.

"Oh Braden, it's okay. It's okay, everything's gonna be okay." I whisper as I rub his back. This is just a horrible sight, and for him to be in this situation is horrible.

He leans back against the bathtub again, and this time he looks even worse. I scoot forward and gently dab his face with the towel, and he closes his eyes with a sigh. I continue to dab his face until all of the sweat is gone. I pull the towel away and cup his face in my hands.

"Braden." I say.

He lazily opens his eyes.

"What happened?" I ask.

"I don't know. I woke up and had this horrible feeling in my stomach so I got up and ran to the bathroom. You know the rest." He says quietly as he shrug his shoulders.

"Are you okay?" I ask as I bring the towel back to his pale face.

"I am no-" he begins to say before he starts coughing again and moves closer to the toilet.

"It's gonna be okay." I whisper as I rub his back. He leans back and he now has a pale green tint to his face. I dab his forehead again and his head swings to the side, but I catch it. "Braden." I say. He lazily opens his eyes. "Come on, lets get you to bed. Unless you need to puke again." I say.

"There's nothing left to throw up." He slurs.

"Let's just get you to bed." I say as I slightly nod.

"Okay." He says quietly. I pull him up by his hands and he gets to a standing position.

"You good?" I ask.

He nods.

I take his arm and wrap it around my shoulders as I wrap my arm around his waist. He leans against me, and he's a lot heavier than I remember. Probably from all of the basketball stuff he's been doing. He tries to walk, but I can tell that he won't be able to make it all the way to the bedroom by the way he's leaning against me.

"Come on, just a little more." I say.

We finally make it to the bedroom and I gently place him on the bed. He heaves a big sigh and his head falls on the pillow.

"Are you okay? Do you need anything?" I ask as I pull the blankets up.

"Really...really dizzy." He says.

"I'll go get you some water. I'll be right back." I say. I quickly walk out and grab a bottle of water and another wet towel. I also grab the trash can just in case he can't make it to the bathroom if he has to puke again.
