Braden's P.O.V. (2 months later)

"Hey hey hey, I got it." I say as I take a box from Claire.

"Thanks," she says.

She is now nine months pregnant, so the baby should be coming any day now. Her stomach is so big that she looks like she's going to pop. But her due date isn't until next week, so we still have a little ways to go.

She's been doing so great throughout her pregnancy, and she's so excited.

And so am I.

I got over what I did to Max, apologized, and healed from getting hit.

I attempted to jump out of the way, but I was too late. I landed on the hood and bounced off the windshield and landed on the ground. I didn't even bother talking to the person who hit me, I just ran off and went back to Claire.

Claire and I are almost done moving into the house. We just have a few more things to unpack and then we are pretty much moved in. We settled everything we needed to with Max and then we went about our own lives.

"I'm gonna run to the bathroom real quick." Claire says. "I'm getting pretty damn tired of you making me pee every two seconds." She says as she points to her stomach.

I slightly laugh.

She waddles off in the direction of the bathroom, and I can't help but smile. She was able to convince me that I won't turn out like my father when the baby comes, but there's still something inside me that is afraid that it will still happen whether I can control it or not. But now, my main concern is Claire.

She's been carrying my child for nine months and I feel like I haven't done too much to help her with anything.

She comes back.

"This is boring." She says, as she comes in my direction.

"Okay then," I say as I set the box down that I was holding, "What do you want to do?"

"I don't know, anything but this." She says.

"Alright, we can watch a movie, sleep, eat, something like that?" I ask.

"That's all we do anymore!" She whines.

"Then you come up with something!"

"I can't think of anything." She says as she looks at the ground. "I'm sorry I'm so boring, and have been for a while now."

"Hey, you have never been boring, and you haven't been boring. You've been pregnant." I say as I walk over to her and take her hands in mine.

"Thank you,"

"You're welcome." I say as I kiss her forehead.

"No, seriously. You didn't leave when I told you we were gonna be having a baby, and you have been so helpful and great during these past nine months. I have no idea how I got so lucky to find someone like you." She says.

"Well, thank you for not being a total pain in the ass during these past nine months." I say, and we both laugh. "But for real, you have been so amazing during this time and I can't wait to start my life with you." I say. I get down on my knees, my face directly in front of her stomach. "And you too, of course."

She laughs. I look up at her and she has a cross between a smirk and a smile on her face.

"What?" I ask.

"I just don't know what we're gonna do when this is over." She says as she puts her hand on her stomach.

"We're going to have the time of our lives."
