Obi-Wan Kenobi barely had enough time to break his pilots off the attack. He pulled his aircraft up sharply, flying over the dead tree forest when he saw the huge opening of the mine. There were still thousands of battledroids pouring out of it.
Kenobi's intercom lit up as he heard Commander Cody. "Sir, Captain Rex confirms General Skywalker has the Senator."
"That's good news, but they won't be going anywhere with that many droids firing on them as they evacuate. Squadron swing around and prepare to provide air support for the 501st."
"Sir," one of General Kenobi's clonetrooper pilots interjected. "Enemy fighters headed this way."
"There goes the good news. How many?"
"At least a hundred have flown out of the cave so far," the pilot said.
"And they're still coming," Commander Cody's voice was barely audible.
"A hundred?" said Kenobi.
Obi-Wan Kenobi swung his ship around to take a look for himself. His trooper was right, hundreds of Vulture Droids were launching out of the mouth of the cave.
"Tight formation," Kenobi said tightening his grip on the controls. "Prepare to engage."
"I have a bad feeling about this."
