I walked cautiously down the hallway and into the gym lobby. It was dead silent. I looked around to see if anyone was in here and it see if there was anyone that I could help or save. I went towards the indoor courts to see if any of the guys were in there. I pressed my ear up against the door and listened out for any voices or noises. I then heard some muffled voices and small footsteps. I began to worry if Mike had told them about me. If so, they would probably kill me if they saw I wasn't dead. If not, then they would still just think I'm apart of their team and not to kill me. Just as I went to open the door, I heard slow footsteps approach behind me. Slowly, I turned around, only to see  Trent limping towards me.
"Trent what the hell! I thought you were staying up there to rest!" Trent sighed and came closer.
"I know I should be up resting but, you need my help. I'm also not going to let you go out there alone by yourself and let you risk getting yourself killed," he grunted.
He was clearly still in pain. Suddenly I felt bad that I had basically forced him to join me on this. His marble green eyes stared at me calmly.
"Thank you," I thanked him.
I then lifted my heels off the ground and stood on my toes. With my ski mask still on, I put my lips onto his and gave him a short, gentle kiss. Trent let out a little giggle of happiness, which made me laugh. "Okay. We're gonna go in here and see if any of the guys are there,"
I said still laughing. Trent nodded and held up his tranquilliser gun.  I then pulled the door handle and opened the door.
We stepped inside and heard a few short gasps. There were a whole row of kids seated along the wall beside us. In front of them were two men who were apart of our group. They talked to one another at the time, probably deciding on how to kill the kids. Their attention went to us and their mouths both flung open.
"Hey! Mike said they were dead," one guy exclaimed.
The other guy lifted up his gun but before he shot at us, I lifted up my tranquilliser gun and shot him. The tranquilliser dart got him right in the chest. He then stumbled back and fell over silently. He let out a groan before freezing and unconsciously laying on the ground, loosing all control over his limbs and his body. The other guy stared at us and Trent then shot him in the chest as well. They were both now on the ground paralysed, not making a sound or a move. The young kids gasped and stared at us.
"Don't worry, we will save you," I promised the kids.
They appeared to be a class of year 5 students. Their teacher Miss Piper, my old year 5 teacher, sat on the ground hugging one of the girls who was crying. I smiled at her under my mask and turned around to leave.
"Lock the door behind us," I reminded them.
We then left the indoor courts and proceeded to exit the gymnasium.

"That was easier than I thought," I confessed to Trent.
"Well it probably won't be as easy from now on, Mike would have gotten around to so many of them and told them about us and what just happened."
Trent was right, unfortunately. We now headed over to the year 10 area, where my classroom was. We snuck over to the classroom that Carl had entered earlier. We stood at the door and peaked through the small window beside it. Around 10 kids laid on the ground with blood oozing from their bodies. The rest remained silent and traumatised. Carl stood at the front of the classroom pacing, and was talking to the children. I looked at Trent before opening the door. Carl stopped pacing at stared at us with excitement.
"Hey look it's my good old nephew and his... girlfriend! Wow you two must have gotten rid of your kids easily."
Clearly Mike hadn't gotten around to everyone yet.
I walked forward and stopped right in front of one of the bodies. It was Kayla Stones body, my old friend from year 5. We used to hang out often at school, but then she left me for some rude and 'popular' girls.
"Come help me out, Billy and Jack left me to go and find Mike. We still have all of these kids left over," Carl exclaimed.
Trent and I looked at each other before returning our gaze back to Carl.
"Sorry Carl but no," I said firmly.
Trent lifted up his tranquilliser gun and shot him in the chest. "What, NO!" Carl screamed as the tranquilliser dart got him in the chest.
"I was only trying to- " he stuttered before dropping to the ground.
The kids in the class all stared at us with shock. They were all crying and shaking unstoppably.
"Do you guys have phones on you?"
They all stared at me with terror in their eyes.
"Answer me, do you have phones on you?"
They all nodded their heads in unison.
"Ok, call your parents. Someone find a first aid kit and try bandage these kids up. Now!"
The kids stood up and pulled out their phones. I turned around and opened the door to the classroom that was beside the one we were currently in. No guys were in here, there were only a group of kids who were all grouped together in a corner.
"It's okay, helps on its way you guys. Go into the other room now and help out."
