Chapter 10: Cupid's Queue

Lia's POV

Watching a movie with him felt like a decade had already passed by. A torture of awkward silence was between us. I definitely must say having a great tension between us isn't a good idea after all. So I had to do one job and that one job that I'm very great at, was to talk, to probably ease this excruciating pain of silence.

Lia: Okay this is really bothering me. Watching a movie right now isn't a good idea. Why don't we just talk?
Alex: Talk? Sure, why not. Pero hindi ba magiging awkward lalo?
Lia: Hindi naman tayo magiging awkward if not for you diba AHAHHAHAHA.
Alex: My bad, so ano na nga what should we talk about huh?
Lia: Why don't we ask questions for each other? Salitan tayo so in that way, we could also learn more about each other, since I'm sure this wouldn't be our last meeting.
Alex: HA HA HA you're expecting for another date?
Lia: I'm not expecting nor assuming for another date, for all I know, I am looking forward for another hangout and not a date.
Alex: Ahhh hangout pala. Okay na yun kaysa sa wala hehehehe. Okay, ikaw maunang magtanong, I'm really not good at this.

Lia: Simple questions would do. Hindi mo kailangan kabahan diyan, okay! First question; why do you like me? HAHHAHA
Alex: Woah, simple ba yun, hinahot seat mo na ako kaagad. Bad! Actually, the moment I saw you, believe it or not, it was like in the movies, where everything stopped for a moment, where sun rays suddenly shines right in front of you, and then I don't know something weird just happened. I had this tingling feelings that I don't know where it came from. The next thing I know, I wanted to take care of you, I wanted to be the man that you're scared to lose, I wanted to be the guy that will be holding your hand till your last breath, I wanted to be that guy that would wrap an arm around your waist, protecting you from such troubles. Afterwards, when I get to know you everything just felt right, your personality makes me fall for you even more. Moreover, you have those killer brown eyes, that would make any person go weak in the knees. You're a heather Lia.

Before its always been me imagining these kind of things with Damien, it was always me daydreaming of the guy I love. But I never realized that someone would think about me like that. Though it may seem strange but I really know what it feels like to experience what Alex is feeling right now, because that's how I am with how I feel towards Damien.

Lia: You really do know how to sweet talk people huh! Thank you na lang sa compliment, I was actually speechless the moment you started to speak because I thought you're just going to shrug off my question. As a matter of fact, I didn't think that you would take things seriously. Kaya my bad sorry na ksjssksk.
Alex: Maliit na bagay Lia. It's my turn. Pick one person you love the most and why?
Lia: Easy naman niyan, walang kachallenge challenge. Yung lola ko, she's my comfort zone eh. Kahit siguro magkaasawa ako I will always treat her as the love of my life. Mahal na mahal ko yun. Alam mo ba kung nakilala mo lang siya, lagi kang papakainin nun kahit hindi ka niya ganun ka kilala pero alam mo medyo maissue rin kasi yun si lola, kunyare may kalaro ako nun na lalaki iisipin niya boyfriend ko raw eh bata pa ako nun, I was just 7 years old that time pero she's already suspecting na may boyfriend na ako. Tapos lumaki na kasi ako dito sa Cavite and she's staying sa Bicol, everytime na uuwi kami dun, she will always brag me sa lahat ng mga amiga niya na galing pa ako sa Manila or whatsoever. Lagi yun proud sa akin. Tsaka lagi ako binibigyan ng pera nun ng patago ang cute lola ko. I miss her so much. God knows that I'm still crying every night mourning for her soul. If I could just travel back in time, I'd walk slower this time. I really miss her.
Alex: Your love for her was so genuine to the point that you didn't noticed that you're eyes were already swollen from crying so much. It's okay, I'm here. I've got you. I'm sorry for asking you that question.
