~Go back to The Silver Totem for full background of this story~

*Summary: Tommy wanted to know more about the War of the Silver Totem, and asked Xisuma to tell him. They go down to the old bunker, and X tells him everything. And then cliffhanger *

Tw: Death, insanity, injury

"You're not supposed to be here, Void. Neither are you, Thomas Innit."

Tommy was on the floor, shaking. How he got there, he couldn't remember. Next to him lay Xisuma, hurt but alive. For the last hour the ghost had been chasing them down, seemingly having out for them, especially for X.

"Please Mister Ghost, just tell us what you want from us."

"What do I want? All I want is revenge against those who hurt me. Void already knows what he did. However, you probably don't know your part in this story yet, so I'll tell you."

"Your father and I, we were the closest people you'd ever meet. We were inseparable. Everything we did, we did together. We might've even had feelings for each other. However, after 15 years of knowing each other, we started turning against each other. He didn't want anything to do with the Totem experiments. And then, one day we fought. My sister tried to stop us, but she died in the process. Ever since then, I vowed to hunt him down and destroy his bloodline. Unfortunately, you're quite the survivor. Until now."

"Shard, please don't do this."

Tommy hadn't even noticed that X was awake. He could sense him close to him. He was weak, but held himself up with some unknown strength

"Please Shard, if it's about me not wanting to test the Silver Totem, I'm-"

"It's not about the Totem, that I can forgive. However…"

"It's about your son, isn't it."

"Mister Void?-"

"YES IT'S ABOUT MY SON. YOU TOOK HIM AWAY FROM ME. YOU STOLE HIM."

The spirit was angry, so angry the whole room lit up in a deadly red. He grabbed X by the neck, and held him to the wall.

"So, you have a choice now. Tell me where my son is, or I kill you both and leave you trapped here for eternity."

Xisuma looked at Tommy, not knowing what to choose. Tommy shook his head. He trusted X's instinct, and knew that Techno was a lot safer in the SMP.

"Guess we'll die then."

Shard screamed, causing the whole room to shake, red light flashing. He knocked X hard into the wall, letting him fall to the ground unconscious. He then turned to Tommy, a crazed smile on his face. Fueled by fear and adrenaline, Tommy pushed himself up and ran towards the far wall, the ghost close behind.

A discarded blood stained sword lay right under the dark mark, and Tommy picked it up. Suddenly, the ghost backed up a bit, a slice of fear holding it back

"You wouldn't-"

Tommy lauged

"I know that the only way to kill a ghost is with the same thing that killed it before. And, judging by where I found this, you're not gonna stay for long."

"Kid, haven't you realized. This whole place is connected to me. Kill me, and it will all fall down. You'll be dead."

"You really think I'm afraid of dying? My family is dead, and I might've just lost my third father. I don't fear Death at all, but you should."

Tommy threw the sword at Shard, hitting his heart dead-center. The ghost screamed in rage, and the entire room shook, sending chunks of stone raining down

"You actually did it-"

The door of the bunker opened up, and Tommy decided to try and get out. He ran over to X and pulled him up onto his back. He managed to get him out just in time, as the entire bunker collapsed in on itself. The tunnel, however, was as steady as always.

Tommy walked through the tunnels, completely ignoring his injuries, but careful not to make X's worse. Getting up the stairs was a bit harder, but he made it up. He gently put X down on the carpet, noticing that the man was still breathing, but covered in many close-to-lethal injuries.

"Dad, I'm sorry for asking you to go down there. This is all my fault."

Tears were streaming down Tommy's face, as he held onto Xisuma's hand. Grief and regret took over his mind.

"You're one brave man, Tommy."

"Mister Void! You're still alive."

Tommy could barely contain his excitement

"I'm alive, and I heard everything you said down there, although I couldn't move, nor see anything. I'm so proud of you."

"Thank you Mister Void, that means so much."

"Please, call me X."

"Okay X, what now?"

"Call a rescue team. If we don't get to Medbay soon, we're not gonna make it. And then we just hope for the best."

"On it."

A/N

Hello. Author Willow here. This is my longest complete story to date, even longer than Escaping Death. Gotta say, I'm really proud of this. From my perspective, the best part was when Tommy called X his dad, both in the bunker and at the end. And ofc the overload of angst that is expected in my writing
