Nick picked me up at my apartment to give me a ride to the airport. I was happy to go with him and glad that he was able to come. We boarded the plane and made our way to North Carolina. We got different hotel rooms that we separated into once we got there. They were right next to each other, so it wasn't too far.
On the day of the wedding, I got ready in the hotel room. I put on a long, light blue dress that hugged my curves tightly. I wore a shiny necklace and earrings to fancy myself up. I put my hair in a braided bun, curling some of the loose hair. I did my makeup a little heavier than usual, but nothing too extravagant.
When I was finishing up my makeup, there was a knock at the door. I got up and opened it, seeing Nick in a tuxedo.
"Look who's fancy," I smiled.
"You look-" His eyes trailed from my face to my ass before he caught himself. "You look great,"
"Thanks," I smiled, letting him come in.
I finished doing my makeup and added a touch of pink lipstick. I never wear lipstick, but I guess I was trying new things. I haven't worn a dress in a while, either, and it felt a little weird, but damn, did I look good.
"Are you ready yet?" He asked.
He's almost as impatient as Finn, Zack, Max, and Taylor on prom night. Don't they understand that beauty takes time? Hell, I don't, but I only take forever because I rarely practice. How do girls get their eyeliner so perfect?
"Yup," I said, checking myself out in the large mirror in the bathroom. "How do I look?"
"Incredibly sexy," He laughed. "How will your dad feel about the low cut?"
"He can deal with it," I smiled.
We got to the venue and there were hundreds of cars parked. I sat by my parents and Riley for the ceremony. When the beautiful couple was officially married, we started to party.
"Mom, Dad, this is Nick," I told them, introducing him.
"Hey, Nick, nice to meet you," Dad stuck out his hand and Nick shook it.
"Nice to meet you too, sir," He said. "It's so cool meeting you,"
"Likewise," Dad said. "How do you like the Thunderbirds?"
"I love it," He said. "The guys- and Tyler are absolutely amazing,"
"Good to hear," He said.
Nick introduced himself to Riley as dad whispered to me.
"What the hell is this?" He looked at my dress.
"It's a dress, Dad," I laughed.
"Is he your boyfriend?" Mom asked, looking at Nick.
"He better not be," Dad said.
"Relax," I said. "He's not my boyfriend,"
"Too bad, he's kinda cute," She nudged my arm.
Dad gave her a glare which caused some weird looks between them.
"What?" Mom asked, laughing. "Mat, you have to let the girl grow up,"
"I'm almost an adult," I said.
"Don't remind me," He put his hand on his forehead.
Nick came back over to our table. He stood behind me with his hands on my chair.
"There's like, some serious hockey dudes here," Nick said.
"Are you intimidated?" I asked.
"Maybe a little," He smiled.
