Her vows rang in my head as she said them at the altar.
"From the moment we kissed, I felt something that I've never felt before. Sure you were Mat's hockey friend, but I still had some strange feelings for you. When we decided not to be together because we were going in different directions with our lives, I was crushed. I wanted to be with you and so did fate. Ethan, I'm so glad that we found each other again. We've become best friends and I love you more every day. I don't know how you manage to deal with me all the time, but I think it's worth it. I will always be there for you for the rest of my life, no matter what path we're on. E, I love you, and I will for the rest of my life,"
I couldn't stop smiling after I heard that come from her mouth.
Shreya and I were dancing for hours, laughing and singing. She looked so beautiful and I made that clear almost every ten minutes. I love being married to this woman. I'm in love with her.
"Shreya, you look absolutely gorgeous," I kissed her.
She smiled and kissed me back.
"And you're so handsome," She kept smiling and kissed me again.
We took some pictures by the lake because the sunset was beautiful. It was a perfect evening for the perfect thing. I was seriously the most happy that I've ever been in my whole life. I get to spend the rest of it with her.
When the guests started leaving, it was already two in the morning. Shreya and I were the last one's in the venue. We had the place to ourselves for the rest of the night.
"You okay?" I asked, looking at my beautiful bride.
"Yeah," She smiled. "Just a little tired,"
"Want a cappuccino?" I asked, knowing that her taste buds acquired only that coffee.
"Sure," She said, sitting at a barstool.
I went behind the counter and made an espresso for myself and a cappuccino for Shreya. When I finished, I handed her a cup and kissed her cheek.
"Can I confess something?" I asked.
"Sure," She said, taking a sip of her coffee. "Please don't be something bad,"
"It's not," I smiled. "Remember when we made that promise to each other that we would get married?"
"The time where we made the bet or when you proposed?" She asked.
"When we made the bet at the party," I said.
"Yeah," She looked at me.
"The day that we made the bet was the day I got you the ring," I said.
"And you waited ten years to give it to me?" She said with a sarcastic smile.
"I wanted to wait," I told her. "But it's perfect now,"
I kissed her soft lips.
We put our coffee on the bar as I lifted Shreya out of her seat. Her legs wrapped around my waist and her hands cupped my face, kissing me again. She unbuttoned my blazer and threw it off. She went straight to the buttons on my white shirt and took the tie off of my neck. I unzipped her dress slowly as she hopped out of it, revealing her underwear. Believe it or not, we've actually never had sex before. It was the best I've had with the one I was in love with. I don't know how she makes everything better than it was before. She's perfect and I love it.
