"Drop the shield! Put your hands in the air!" an agent exclaims.

"Yeah, no," I say as I quickly take Steve's shield from him. I use it to break off the elevator wires which sends the elevator down at a fast pace. The elevator stops and Steve pries the doors open just to see more S.T.R.I.K.E. agents approach us.

"Bad idea," I say as I immediately shut the doors.

"Give it up! Get that door open! You have nowhere to go!" an agent commands from outside the elevator.

I look out the elevator then down making an idea pop into my head as I give Steve his shield back.

"Wrong!" I exclaim as I grab Steve and break through the glass of the elevator plummeting down to the ground.

I let go of Steve midway and he uses his shield as a landing pad while I just use my left arm. When we finally hit the ground I get up with a groan. I look over at Steve, I quickly make my way to him, and help him up. When we're both up we start to take off running.

We get into my car with me in the driver's seat. I'm able to get past the gate of the bridge just before it shut. I continue to drive forward but notice spikes coming out of the bridge and a Quinjet ahead making me groan.

"Stand down, Captain Rogers and Agent L/n. Repeat stand down!" the pilot says as they lower the machine gun.

"Give me your shield," I tell Steve and he does.

"Alright now take over," I quickly climb out of the car through the driver's side window. I throw the shield into the propellers of the jet to jam it. I hop onto it and take the shield to do more damage. I jump off as it goes crashing down and run back to the car, hop in, and when I'm finally in we speed off.

I'm dressed in regular clothing, a black hoodie, grey sweats, and vans. The hoodie over my head as I walk through the hospital to retrieve the flash drive. I stand in front of the vending machine just to see the section I hid it in is completely empty.

"What the fuck," I mutter. Not even a second later I see Nat behind me through the reflection of the machine chewing gum and blowing a bubble with it. I turn to face her with my jaw clenched and begin to look left and right when I see nobody is looking I grab her by the arm and push her into a room. I pin her to a wall with my arms on hers holding her in place making her let out a huff.

"Where is it?" I ask her.

"Safe," she answers simply making me scoff.

"Do better," I tell her.

"Where did you get it?" she retorts.

"Why the hell would I tell you?" I ask with my eyebrows now furrowed. I see a flash of hurt in her eyes but it was gone the second she opened her mouth.

"Fury gave it to you. Why?" she asks with a raised eyebrow.

"What's on it?" I ask looking between her eyes.

"I don't know," she says.

"Stop lying!" I quietly exclaim.

"I only act like I know everything, L/n" she says making me roll my eyes.

"Natasha I'm not gonna ask you again," I tell her with more authority as my hold on her tightens and my face gets closer to hers. The use of her full name obviously catching her by surprise as I only refer to her by nicknames like Red or Nat.

"I know how killed Fury. Most of the intelligence community doesn't believe he exists, the ones who do call him the Winter Soldier. He's credited with over two dozen assassinations in the last fifty years," she informs in a whisper.
