Sam was kind enough to let us use his shower and borrow some clothes. So now I'm in a black tank top and black sweats inside the bathroom with Nat who insisted on helping me clean my wounds. I felt her tug on the tank top so I pulled it over my head and set it on the sink that I was leaning on, my front facing the mirror. As she cleaned the wounds on my back I looked at her through the mirror just to see her sad and in her head.

"You okay?" I ask making her look back at me through the mirror.

"Yeah," she says going back to cleaning my wounds.

"Liar," I say swiftly turning around to face her.

"Red you can tell me anything you know that right?" I ask her softly grabbing her chin gently turning her head to look at me. After what felt like an eternity of silence she finally spoke.

"When I first joined S.H.I.E.L.D. I thought I was going straight," she says looking anywhere but me making me sigh. I take the cotton out of her hands and toss it into the trash can, I take her hand and began to trace out the lines on the palm of her hand to try and relax her.

"But I guess I just traded in the KGB for HYDRA," she says before taking a deep breath and looking at me.

"I thought I knew whose lies I was telling but I guess I can't tell the difference anymore," she says looking down.

"There's a chance you might be in the wrong business," I say making a small smile appear on her face. Back in the car when we were driving to Wheaton NJ she said those exact words about being friends with Steve. She looks into my eyes making my heart skip a beat.

"Thank you, I owe you," she says making me smile and shake my head.

"You don't have to thank me," I tell her slowly pulling her into a hug.

"If it was the other way around, and it was down to me to save your life, now you be honest with me," she starts, wrapping her arms around my waist.

"would you trust me to do it?" she asks looking up at me.

"Yes, I would. Thought it was pretty obvious. Bonus is that I'm honest most of the time," I tell her with a smile as I look down at her.

"Most of the time?" she questions with a raised eyebrow

"Well, I try to be honest with you all the time," I tell her, making her look down as a faint blush appears on her cheeks.

After a moment of comfortable silence I spoke, "So, seemed like you really wanted to kiss me back there."

"Not that I'm complaining," I quickly add.

"But it was like you really really wanted to like super do-" I tease before she cut me off.

"Shut up," she mumbles digging her head into my chest.

"Words can hurt, Nat," I say with a pout.

She looked up at me and was about to say something but a knock on the door interrupted her. I look at the door and see Steve standing there looking at me with a small smile on his face.

"What's up America?" I ask him as Nat separates from me making me frown.

"Sam made breakfast," Steve says wiping that frown off my face.

"Yes!" I exclaim practically running out of the room and into the kitchen. The other two came into the kitchen both with amused expressions on their faces I was surprised that Steve wasn't  disappointed but I guess it's a good thing. I gave them a cheeky smile for eating.

"Thanks for the food Sam," I say as I wash my plate.

"Yeah no problem," he responds. I hear someone walk up to me making me turn around just to see the short redhead stopping in front of me.
