"Step on me." -Literally anyone who's seen Lady Dimitrescu.

You sighed in exhaustion as you finished your last chore, the floors of the dining room were now spotless. You looked outside the clean windows to see heavy rain.

Your head pounded and you groaned in pain, wiping the sweat from your forehead.

"What's this?" A swarm of flies appeared in front of you, "A human in pain and I'm not the cause of it?"

You immediately stood up and bowed at her, ignoring the pain, "Lady Daniela."

She smirked evilly at you, "Acting tough, huh? Why don't we change that?"

She showed her fangs, her golden eyes glowing in the otherwise dark dining room. She moved closer to you while you simply waited for her to hurt you.

There's no point in running, you've learned that from all the other maids the girls have chased down. She glared when you didn't react like she thought you would.

"Why aren't you running?" She looked about ready to kill you, her whole body was tense.

You knew you had offended her.

You frowned, "I mean no disrespect, Lady Daniela. Rest assured, I am very terrified of you but-"

You and Daniela jumped when a loud clang of thunder erupted, in a castle like this, the sound echoed everywhere.

Your heartbeat which was already racing from Daniela's scare increased more. You were almost sure you were going to die of a heart attack.

Another clang and one of the windows blew open. Daniela screamed in pain as the cold air rushed inside. Her lower body erupted into flies but some of the flies were dropping to the floor dead.

You ran with the best of your ability against the strong winds and slammed the window shut, using a large chair to barricade the window so it wouldn't open again.

Daniela was huffing in pain, her screams had stopped the second you shut the window. You quickly made your way over to her and helped her stand up.

Both of you made it to the main room where the fireplace was located. You situated her near the fire and wrapped her up in a blanket to keep her more warm.

A large swarm of flies surrounded you.

Cassandra and Bela were now standing in front of you. They glared at you when they saw Daniela was shivering. A very noticeable wave of protectiveness coming off the two sisters.

"What did you do?!" They both bellowed at you, already starting to swipe at you with their weapons.

You tried your best to block them but they managed to make several deep cuts along your arms. You winced at the pain from the cuts and from your headache.

"T-The window opened up in the dining room because of the storm," You tried explaining through their efforts to hurt you, "I-I was just trying to help L-Lady Daniela."

Cassandra stopped swinging her scythe and frowned at you but her sister didn't stop.

Bela sneered at you and showed off her fangs, "As if we would believe that!"

"She saved my life," Daniela softly said from her position, not bothering to turn around from her spot in front of the fire to look at you all.

Bela froze and looked at you in surprise while Cassandra still had a frown on her face as she gazed at your wounds.

"Daughters," A commanding voice from the top of the staircase had you all look up, on the balcony was Lady Dimitrescu.
