You hummed softly to yourself as you dusted in a timely manner, taking great care to rid the shelves of dust.
Unable to help yourself, you started to sing under your breath.
I wanna see you girl.
I wanna please you girl.
Go 'head and be you girl.
Can't wait to see you girl.A gentle smile made its way on your face as the song you sang was very similar to how you were feeling at the moment, a certain matriarch in your mind.
I haven't seen you in a while, you know I miss you, babe.
When you hear this song, feel flattered, it's about your face.
And how I miss it, and wish I can see it more.Swirling the duster in your hand, you stood back and admired your handy work. All of the shelves and furniture looked spotless.
Nodding your head in satisfaction, you began to let your mind wander. You were done with your assigned chores and the three daughters were in the cellar below doing who knows what.
You weren't exactly sure where Lady Dimitrescu was and felt a bit solemn that the two of you had yet to talk about where you stood in terms of a relationship. It has already been a solid week since your kiss, and the two of you were so busy that stolen glances and soft smiles were the only things that you two shared.
The nightly reports didn't happen anymore either because the lady of the castle seemed to always have meetings later at night.
With a soft sigh, you continued to sing softly as you stared at the shelves thoughtfully, getting stuck in your own mind.
I wanna see you girl.
I wanna please you girl.
Go 'head and be you girl.
Can't wait to see you girl."My, my," You practically jumped out of your skin as a husky voice came from behind you, interrupting your song, "You never cease to amaze me, darling."
The compliment had you at a loss for words as you whirled around to lock eyes with the one person you were just thinking about.
The matriarch held your gaze and cocked her eyebrow at you, a little chuckle escaping her, "It's been awhile since I've heard you sing."
"Lady Dimitrescu," You practically squeak out in astonishment, surprised to see her in front of you. You could've sworn the girls mentioned that their mother was going to busy the following month.
Yet here she was, enjoying your starstruck reaction to her.
A little smirk was on her face as she responded to you, "That would be me, yes."
Realizing that gawking at her wasn't going to really cut it, you snapped out of it and quickly regained your composure, albeit sheepishly, "My apologies for the reaction, I thought you'd be too busy to speak to me for a while."
The smirk on her face faltered and she adjusted her hat in a casual manner, staring at you in wonder.
"I assure you that's not the case," She shook her head in finality, "I have been rather busy but I do my best to make time for important things."
