After getting Josh off to school I drive to the store and pick up a set of white roses then I head to the grave yard. In case your wondering what the hell happened my grandma who was such a sweet older lady died a couple years ago while I was with the Devil himself but I couldn't see her nor attend her funeral because he didn't wanna see me cry because in his crying was always a sign of weakness which wasn't what I was told growing up but each to their own I guess.
I walk to her grave stone and kneel placing the white flowers down on the ground.
"hi grandma ma, I'm so sorry I couldn't visit sooner or attend your funeral but he wouldn't allow me to because he always said crying is weakness. I know if you were around you would have hit him with your walker haha but grandma ma I met someone new and he's absolutely amazing you would have loved him. His name is Jackson and he treats me like a queen he's amazing with Josh gosh I wish you could be here to meet him, Knowing you you'd probably say oohh honey go on with ya bad self hahaha I miss your sassy wise dom, I miss your advice, I miss the times when we would play monopoly, color together, all of that. After I visit you I'm going to go to the nursing home and check on papa for you. I'm glad I have at least one of you here with me but you were god's angel first so I understand he wanted you home but papa misses you I know he does. I love you grandma now I've also got to grab papa his marble cake that he loves so much I'll visit more often okay you beautiful soul" I say standing up and wiping some tears away
I check my phone and there's a message from Jackson

I head back to my house to change and grab some waters for the day to spend with papa.

After changing and we have gotten his cake we head to the nursing home.

We head in and I see papa playing chest with a friend of his. We walk over and his face lights up
"my beautiful grand daughter!" he beams
I smile "hey papa we interupting?" I ask
"not at all just a friendly game of chest with Lester" he says smiling
"well, papa I'd like you to meet Jackson, Jackson this is my papa who also served in the military during his younger days" I say smiling
"Hello sir, Nice to meet you" Jackson says smiling
Papa eyes him and whispers to me "is this the asshole I wanna beat with my cane?"
I laugh "no papa, the asshole is in jail this Jackson" I say smiling
Papa nods then shakes Jackson's hand "good to meet you son, treating my grand daughter well?"
"Always sir, she's a queen and that's how she's treated" Jackson says smiling
Papa smiles "good I'll beat you with my cane I might be 65 but don't let that fool you"
"I won't" Jackson says smiling
We sit down with Papa and give him his cake then we play a few rounds of chess with him then we head to pick Josh up from school.
