A young boy in the streets of Shanghai was at death's door. No one stopped to help him or take one glance. He was beaten up and almost losing conscience. He is extremely ill, if he was in this state any longer, he could eventually die. His physique was extremely thin, some could step on him and he would have broken. His eyes were dull and his attitude was aggressive to those who tried to help him. But those who came to his rescue always tried to put him down when he tried to attack them like a mad dog. He didn't need any help or saving, he was going to climb up to the top himself, he was doing this for his sister, everything he had done to come here was all for his beloved sister. Maybe it was a stupid decision, he could have moved on and lived a better life if he chose to do so, in Japan. But no, he took a boat and sailed to Shanghai in hope to become stronger to defeat the one and only, Battousai the Manslayer.

He wanted nothing more for that man to suffer and pay for what he has done to him and his family. That man had no right walking along the streets peacefully in the era of Meiji. How dare he live, how dare he. As long as Battousai lives, he shall not rest until he has had his revenge on the wandering swordsman. For someone who is living peacefully, he has killed and slaughtered many innocent people just to climb up the ranks. What on earth changed him so suddenly? Was it the guilt of losing his sister? No, he was not guilty for killing his sister. Kenshin, the Battousai, slaughtered her out of cold blood. There was not an ounce of remorse in that man. Once a man slayer, always a man slayer.

Enishi, that was the name of the boy dying on the streets of Shanghai. His relationship with Battousai was brittle. Enishi never liked him from the start. Oh why did his dearest sister have to intertwine her life with the likes of him? Why? He never understood his sister. Countless times, Enishi tried to pull his sister away from him, but she didn't leave. He stayed with her, until she met her demise. During the season of winter, he could not save his sister. Blood spilled red on the sight of murder. Battousai sat there with his sister's body in his arms. How dare he hold her like that? He should feel nothing for his sister, so why did he have that look on his face? That does not matter anymore. His top priority was to climb to the top and finally take his revenge.

He was rotting in the streets, his eyes were starting to cloud up. He was getting weaker each second, this wasn't good. His body couldn't hold him up any longer, and with that, he passed out on the murky ground in the pouring rain of Shanghai. Meanwhile, a girl noticed this boy's state, she did not say a word, she did not dare approach him, she had better things to do in this world, the first thing was that she needed to stabilise herself before going to other's needs. She, herself, was the top priority in her situation. She too was struggling with her life. The way she lived was unhealthy and extremely unsatisfactory. She wanted better for herself so that in the future, she could maybe become someone important to society. Her dreams were high beyond the clouds, if only she could climb up to them, one day, everything would be in their respective places, and she could finally be at peace with her life. But it was going to take a long time for her to get there.

She ignored the boy that was rotting away. She knew that if she couldn't stable herself as well, she could end up exactly like him. She did not want that, she would do all she could to not get into that part of the future. The young girl proceeded to walk away from him and past him. He didn't call out for any help, instead, he just stayed quiet like he was waiting for death to come greet him. The girl who walked past him held her hands in front of her and squeezed them. She did not need to feel any sort of pity towards him, it was his problem and only his problem, she did not need to get involved with something ridiculous. But the more she kept thinking about the poor person she just left on the streets, the more guilt started to build up in her stomach. She felt like she was going to throw up if she did nothing about it.

The girl turned around to walk the same way she passed from. She peaked over to the corner to see him still there in the same position. She knew she was in the poorest parts of Shanghai, and she knew there were more people on her way that were going to be like this young boy. Even so, she still made an effort to help him. She moved towards him, creeping up slowly. She felt like he was an aggressive person that would ravish her in seconds if he noticed her. Although she knew the possibility of danger, she still proceeded to walk towards him. His figure was still like a dead body, he looked like he could actually be dead. Y/N crouched down to his level to take a closer look at the boy. He may actually be the same age as her, but due to his malnourished figure, he looked to be much younger than he actually is.
