Chapter 4

The ride was long, and Wu's gaze never seemed to leave her. Y/N's nostrils flared, she would punch this man and fight him if Enishi wasn't sitting right next to her. Y/N's arms were crossed as she looked out the opposite window from Enishi. She thought back to when she first met him. She recognised him immediately, she knew and remembered him completely. It wasn't that hard to remember, a man like him was unforgettable to her, there was no other significant person in her life than he. Of course he wouldn't remember her, he only thought about that one thing, it was to take revenge on someone, she couldn't remember that person's name, but she knew that was his goal. Y/N thought, was there anyone else who knew about his personal affairs? Or was it just her? If anyone took a deep look at him, they would understand what he would be thinking. All he thought about was his sister and reminiscing of the past. It wasn't healthy for a person to be like this, it would destroy them little by little the more they hold on to the past.

Y/N took her gaze from the window and onto Enishi. He was faced away from her, and her view of him was the back of his head and the side of his body. His hair was completely white. His hair wasn't like this back then, was it dyed? No, it was too real for it to be dyed. His white hair came from all the stress. He wasn't stable, he wasn't healthy. This can make a man dangerous. Y/N leaned forward to take a look at his face. His glasses hid the front of his face, but at the side, she could clearly see his dark eyes with a hint of blue hues in them. They looked dead. She pitied him, but she could never say that to him, he would be angered by her words. The carriage finally arrived at an estate. It was fancy, he really was at the top of the Shanghai mafia. The transport stopped, and they all hopped off the ride. Enishi was the last to get off. The gates opened and Enishi walked in first while her and Wu followed closely behind him. As they were far into the place, Wu walked off to a different area, she was now left with Enishi and no one else around them.

Not a single word was spoken from his mouth to her, the sounds of feet taping onto the floor were the only noises that were made. It was still dark, the sun had not risen, this was the longest night of her entire life. They made their way over to a room. Enishi opened the door and walked in, Y/N looked around to see it was such a large space, she assumed this was going to be her chambers. "You will reside here. Now that you're in my territory, you shall not go into specific parts of this place. Never go to my office, unless you have business with me, and never go anywhere where you know you shouldn't be. Am I clear?" Enishi crossed his arms and looked at her, waiting for her response. "How do I know where I'm not supposed to go?" Y/N raised an eyebrow. "You will know. You will take care of yourself, no one will provide you with anything. You'll get your money later within the week. I still need to sort things out." Enishi explained. Y/N stood there, still in confusion, just watching him. She hated how this man was too broad with his words and explanation.

"Look at me." Y/N pointed to her body and clothing. "What am I supposed to wear?" Enishi scanned her, she had a point. "There should be some bathrobes in that closet over there. Just use those for the time being. I will get you new clothes as soon as I can." Enishi rubbed his temples. He needed a drink after all of this. Y/N nodded at his answer. Without any more complaints and questions, Enishi leaves her there. Y/N was now left in this enclosed room. She took the robes from the closet and made her way to the bathroom. She quickly stripped off her clothes and dipped herself into the pool of water. The feeling was nice on her skin, it was rare for her to have such a hot bath like this, she only ever had cold quick showers. Y/N leaned her head back, it was nice to have all of this, but this wasn't what she wanted. Once she's free, she would be able to do as she pleases, but a question stuck into her head. What would happen to him? Once he's achieved his goal, what will happen next? She was curious about him, she should, but it was hard not to. Human beings are naturally curious beings. Her thoughts wandered over to his life. What was he going to do?
