The night is young, and Y/N awoke from her sleep. She checked outside the window to find that the moon was warmly lighting up the room. She noticed that Enishi was stirring up in his sleep. After a couple of moments, Enishi's dark eyes paired up with hers. Y/N sat up to check his temperature with her hand. He was back to normal. Enishi felt completely fine and looked outside the window. "Let's go out tonight. I shall reward you for taking good care of me." Enishi told her. Y/N looked at him with a surprised look. "You're actually going to let me out? We're going out?" Y/N asked for confirmation, she would have never thought Enishi would do something like this, but something between them was changing, they were both aware of it. "Get dressed, I'm sure there's a festival not down the streets. Hurry up, don't make me change my mind." He looked away from her, he was sort of embarrassed to ask her this, he's never asked anyone to go out with him before, only his sister.
Y/N skipped over to the door. "Then it's a date!" Y/N quickly exited the room to get herself ready. Enishi looked over to where she left and gave a confused face. He didn't realise what he had done, he unintentionally asked her out on a date, he didn't notice his own choice of wording. Enishi got out of bed, he stretched his muscles and looked over to what he had in his closet. He dressed up in his normal clothes as always. Enishi took his dark glasses and headed out to the entrance of the house, where he waited for her arrival. Not long after, Y/N descended down the stairs and locked eyes with him. She was wearing one of the dresses that he picked out for her. She didn't look bad at all, she actually got properly dressed up for him, he didn't even put much effort into what he was wearing. "Well? Shouldn't you compliment a lady who dressed up for you?" Y/N gave a sly smile. Enishi cleared his throat. "I don't make such comments. I already knew what you would look like with that on, I was the one who picked it out." Enishi said in a cold tone. Y/N was irritated with his answer, and also disappointed.
She walked straight past him and opened the door, she didn't bat another eye towards the white-haired male. Her stomping made it clear to Enishi that she was not happy with his reply. He gave a sigh and hurried up next to her. What a great way to start the night. Y/N refused to look at him. She was furious, but she didn't say anything about it. Enishi could feel the air around them tense up every moment they walked together. Enishi was now starting to feel his lungs running out of oxygen. He felt the need to say something, anything, but he didn't. He let it slide. He couldn't say anything, he felt like a coward. Y/N didn't steal a single glance from Enishi. Her arms were crossed and she kept her head straight and forward. They now walked through the lanterns that were hung up. There were many people during this night festival, she enjoyed seeing the look on everyone's faces, especially families. She loved the atmosphere the festival had. For the first time in a while, Enishi started the conversation.
"I have never been to a festival before." Y/N perked her head up towards the uncomfortable man. "Why not? Surely you went with your sister before." Y/N slapped her mouth, she touched on something that she shouldn't have brought up. She made their night out much worse. Stupid. She could feel the air around Enishi shift completely. "My sister didn't go to festivals either, she started going when she was engaged to that man." Enishi's tone was low and Y/N gulped. "The one who killed your sister?" Y/N pressed on, she knew she should change the topic, but she was very curious about his early life. "No, she was engaged to someone else before the Battousai. They were childhood friends, so naturally my sister agreed to his marriage proposal. She only started going out when she was with him." Enishi put on a sour face. Y/N patted Enishi's back. "It's alright to be jealous about it. Now you can experience going out on a date with me!" Y/N laughed to lighten up the mood. Enishi looked at her and gave her an irritated look.
Enishi didn't bother to deny the fact that this was indeed a date. "Oh? Why so silent? So you are indeed confirming that this is, in fact, a date." Y/N still had a smug look on her face. Enishi put his head down in shame. His ears were blaring red and he refused to look eye to eye with her, his heart was pumping out blood way too fast that he felt like there was something physically wrong with him. "Enishi, look at me and tell me that you're enjoying my company. If you don't, I'm leaving you here." Y/N put on a serious face. Enishi took a few breaths before daring to look at her. His face was hot and his lips were parted. "I enjoy your company very much." Enishi admitted. Y/N, who still pulled the same face, looked at him more intensely. "Now say that I am absolutely gorgeous and that you adore me." Y/N's lips started to shake, she was holding back a laugh. Enishi's face completely changed and he gritted his teeth. "You sly woman." He managed to get out without blowing up on her. Y/N couldn't hold in her laughter anymore and started howling. "HAHA! You really are something, Enishi! Maybe if you weren't a mafia boss, or obsessed with your sister, I would have married you." Y/N whispered the comment about his sister, but Enishi heard every single word, and what he could conclude was that this woman was brave to say whatever she wanted.
