Chapter 2

Elaine POV

John (who had washed the gel out of his hair) and I were walking through the mall, we still had 30 minutes before we had to meet Arlo

"Hey Elaine want to go over there" John said pointing at a photo booth

"Sure" I said

We walked over to the photo booth and got inside I was sitting to the left of John. We took two photos before John decided to pull prank on me

"3...2.."the computer said

John put his arm around my shoulder and pulled me into him

"1" the computer said as it took a picture

The camera flashed and John was laughing his ass off

"Taking next photo in 8...7...6.." the computer said

John wanted to pull pranks, okay John you're on

"...5.....4....3...2.." the computer said

Right before the computer said one I grabbed John's shirt, pulled him in and kissed his cheek.

The camera snapped and then I pulled away. Now it was my turn to laugh despite the face my face was about the color of Blyke's hair

But there was one more photo and John wasn't done yet

"5...4...3...2..." The computer said

Once the computer said Two John tuned his head toward me and put his fingers on my chin, tilted my head up to look at him and he kissed me on the lips.

The camera snapped

John pulled away and I looked into his eyes. John exploded with laughter and I turned even more red than before.

Me and John exited the photo booth and collected out copied of the pictures
The first one was of us sitting a smiling, the second one was us sitting sitting in was giving double thumbs up and on the side of John I could see he was also giving a thumbs up but with the hand I couldn't see he was flipping off the camera. The third photo was the one where he pulled me into him, the fourth one was me kissing him on the cheek, and the fifth one was him kissing me.

I blushed while I looked at the photo, I looked at him, he was looking at his phone

"Come on" he said "We are gonna be late to meet Arlo"

We made our way to meet Arlo at the ability gauger. When we got there Arlo and Holden were already there waiting in line.

We went down the escalator, and looked at Arlo, he waved us over meaning we got to skip like half the line.

"Hey guys" I said

"Didn't expect you guys to show up" Arlo said

"Why not" I asked

"Because why would you go somewhere just to get embarrassed" Arlo said

John chuckled

"Okay Asslo" He said

"Where did you learn that" he demanded

"Remi" John said

Arlo sighed

We made our way up to the ability gauger and gave him ten dollars,

"Him first" John said pointing at Arlo

Arlo stuck out his hand

"7.1" the ability guy said

Arlo smirked clearly not hearing about John's level two years ago.

"Okay now you young man" he said pointing at John

John stuck out his hand

The ability gauger was silent

"Well?" Arlo said impatient

"9.3" the ability gauger

No one said anything

John and I looked at Arlo who's jaw was wide open

"Okay then" John said grabbing my hand and walking away

We left Arlo and Holden flabbergasted at the ability gauger.

"So what do you want to do now" John asked

Me and John went around to different shops and John stood there while I looked at clothes.

By the time we were done it was dark out.

"This bus stop is crowded" I complained

"There is one a few blocks down, let's go there" John said

"Okay" I said

We were cutting though a park when John stopped moving.

"John?" I asked

Without saying anything he grabbed my hand and started running

We went around the corner of a building and John stopped. He pulled a shirt he had bought that said LAME although the swore it said LA MÈ and was french. He threw the shirt ahead of us. It landed in mid air

"Someone is invisible" I yelled

John kicked the person and they flew back, John grabbed the shirt stuffed it in his bag and we ran all the way back to his apartment

"Alright, it's late I'm going to head home " I said

John looked at me

"What we were just chased by someone invisible, you are staying here Tonight" he said

"Where would I sleep?" I asked

"You take the bed, I'll take the couch" he said

"Fine" I said

We sat down on the couch and turned on a movie. At one point John tuned to me

"Hey Elaine" he said

"Yeah?" I said

"I'm sorry for kissing you" he said blushing

I blushed

"Actually, I was caught unaware and didn't kiss back great and was hoping I could get another shot at it" I said blushing

"If you insist" he said moving his face closer to mine.

Our lips met and I closed my eyes, kissing back as best I could. We kissed for a few more minutes before I pulled away.

"You okay?" John asked

"More than" I said

"I'm just tired and was gonna go to bed" I said

"Okay, lemme show you where the bedroom is" John said smiling

John lead me to his room and made sure I was all good. He gave me a hoodie and shorts to wear to bed. We had both already changed into sleeping clothes.

"Okay well if you're all good I'm gonna go downstairs" John said turning around

I grabbed John's arm and pulled him towards me

"Oh no you don't" i said

"What is happening" he asked

"You mister are staying with me tonight" I said pulling us both down on the bed

"Why?" He asked

"Well we just kissed for about Ten minutes" I said wrapping my arms around him

"Point" he said pulling the blanket on us and wrapping his arms around me

I buried my face into his chest and fell asleep
