Chapter 7

John POV

I looked at the chip coming out of the teddy bear.

"Blyke, Isen, look at this" I said picking up the teddy bear

They looked at the chip and we all glared at the ability gauger who had been blasted against the wall

"What is this" I said

"U-U-Uhhh" the man stuttered

The security guard ran up to us (Not the one from the original story)

"What happened here" the security guard asked

"Some lady was disappointed with her score and launched an energy ball at the table" Isen said

"But after the explosion hit us we found some kind of chip in the bears they were giving out as prizes to high tiers" Blyke said

The security guard took the bear from me and looked at the chip then the ability gauger.

He called another security guard over to us. The second security guard looked at the chip with his eyes glowing

"It looks to be some kind of tracking chip" the second security guard said deactivating his ability

I walked over to the ability gauger and lifted him by the collar.

"Tracking huh" I said slamming the man against the wall

"Why are you guys tracking high tiers" Isen said coming up from behind me

The man didn't say anything

I punched him in the stomach

"Hey asshole my friend asked you a question" I said

The man stayed silent

"John, Blyke, Isen" I heard a voice shout

I turned my head to see Elaine, Seraphina, and Remi running twords us

"What's happening" Seraphina asked

Blyke and Isen explained what happened while I unsuccessfully tried to get answers out of the ability gauger

"So you're tracking anyone who scored above a 5 for their ability level" Seraphina says coming up from behind me

The man didn't say anything

I punched him again

"Talk you motherfucker" I said

I felt something small hit my head I turned around to see what uit me but I only saw Seraphina next to me and everyone else talking to security

"Hey Sera?" I asked

"Yeah?" She said

"Did you just throw something at me" I asked

"No" she said confused

Something heavy then crashed into my hands and broke my left hand as that's where the unseen projectile came from.

I dropped the man who after a few seconds turned invisible.

Blyke made it to us, he started walking over when he heard my yell after my hand got smashed

"What happened" he asked Isen coming us from behind him

"Someone invisible broke my hand and made the ability gauger invisible and now he's gone" I said

Isen's eyes glowed orange

"This way" he yelled running off

Me, Blyke, Isen, and Seraphina ran off after the invisible enemies. Remi and Elaine stayed and helped people who were caught in the explosion
