Jinny resigned at the coffee shop and went back to college to finish her degree, that's what she wanted to do, to finally finish what she started, not for anyone but for herself.
She may not know what lies ahead after it, or if she will continue on that path but she's willing to take the risk this time, she wanted to finished it or else she will forever regret it, she will forever carry the question of what her life could have been if she didn't give up and run from it, she will forever doubt herself.
Better late than never
"Tara!!!" Jinny excitingly hugged Tara
"Congratulations! You did it"
"Don't make cry"
"I'm so proud of you"
And they hugged again, they were at the club with all her batch mates celebrating their graduation, and she invited Tara, though she became busy with school, they were still friends and would still see each other once in awhile. Tara works now as a call center agent.
For a year and a half she dedicated and focused herself on studying., it was never easy but she made it. She finished it and she can say it was worth it, that there is really no easy path, that all you have to do is to decide on how would you want to live your life and trust yourself and give everything to overcome it no matter what.
Their table was flooded with drinks and everyone just scattered around the club.
"Jin I think I'm gonna get laid tonight" Tara whispered to her pointing her face to one of her batch mate as he gazed and smiled at them while he's talking to someone.
Jinny laughed
"You need to get laid too, c'mon reward yourself."
She chuckled and shook her head, she suddenly thought about him, She still thinks about him from time to time, thinking about Daniel had helped her in some ways, it gave her strength to fix herself and her life.
She missed him. All of him.
She drank down the glass of vodka in her hand when the club suddenly played a familiar song. She was stunned.
That song and that night at the manor.
The midnight city and Daniel.
She stood up from the their couch, and slowly walked to the dance floor area to check the dj booth, expecting to see someone there — and found none but just the two dj on the booth.
She just stood there at the side feeling ridiculous "You're crazy jinny" she said to herself
"Are you looking for me," a familiar voice said in the back.
She turned around and froze.
She just stared at him for a while asking herself if he was real.
"Don't tell me this is your club too" she finally said.
"Part owner." he smiled
She froze again, just staring at his face, she miss it, his eyes, his hair, his lips, everything.
"I heard it's a graduation party"
She nodded and smiled as she felt her tears forming at the corner of her eyes.
"You're right Daniel, I can — I can do better."
"I'm proud of you."
"Are you still with her?" she bravely asked
He shook his head "It never worked."
"Are you with anyone?"
He shook his head again not removing his eyes to her eyes.
"Did you play that song . . . for me?"
He nodded and smiled at her
Jinny lunged forward and grabbed his face and kissed him deeply as her tears fell down on her cheeks Daniel put his arms around her waist and kissed her back.
"I love you too. I love you too daniel." she said as she released his mouth, breathing heavily in his face. Her heart is beating so fast, she finally said it. She can finally say it to him without fear, doubts and hate in herself.
Daniel cupped her cheek and rubbed it with his thumb while his other hand is still around her waist.
"Well . . . it's a year and a half late —but it's better late than never as they say." he said smiling at her
Jinny chuckled
Daniel held her more tightly and kissed her again.

"Ew?? Are you kidding me? Do you know that I fuck models, influencers, ceos" Miguel boasted to Tara.
"So fucking what? I fuck bartenders, baristas, delivery guys"
"oofff wow, oh yeah . . . well —that is more hot. I guess" Miguel said moving his face forward to Tara smiling naughty.
"Do you have a condom?" Tara said.
Jinny and Daniel laughed, shaking their head, they're at one of the tables at the manor drinking at 5am, while the staffs are cleaning up the place.
"Our friends are both crazy." Jinny said to Daniel whose kissing her shoulders.
"Do you wanna fall in love like us." daniel said to both Tara and Miguel
"EWW!" they both whimpered.
