Closing the local flower shop down, you wave your co-worker good-bye. The door shuts behind him with a cling from the bell, and you bustle about the shop, water the rest of the flowers and cleaning any stray messes that might've been missed.

With one last sweep of your eyes around the shop, you turn the last light off and exit yourself. You lock the door and turn around.

A bright flash of a camera blinds you. You snap your e/c eyes closed, seeing white flashes and spots like fireworks behind your eyelids.

You finally regain yourself and open your eyes. Dozen's of paparazzis swarm you, blurting out questions as they shove their mic's in your face. You quickly push through them and to your car just on the curb.

Within seconds, your tires are screeching down main-street, leaving the frantic paparazzis behind.

"Hey, Siri," your phone lights up, "call M."

"Calling M heart emoji. Mobile."

Five rings later, and the phone picks up.

"We need to talk," you rushed, turning onto your street, your apartment complex coming into view.

"We do. We're out to the entire world now," Marie said, "I hope you like the cameras."

You put your car in park and start collecting your things, "You don't say? I kind of figured that much out when the paparazzis were swarming me," you said, closing your door and rushing to your apartment.

Walking up the flight of stairs your floor is on, Marie replies, "They did what?! Are you serious?"

"Dead serious," you twist the doorknob and hurry yourself inside, then lock the doorknob and deadbolt. "I hope they didn't follow me . . ." you toss your keys on the small table by the door.

"Me, too."

You look at the phone in confusion before your eyes bounce to her figure standing at the end of the hall. "Marie!!"

You dropped your phone and ran up to her. She chuckles, easily catching you. "I miss you, too," she teased, her arms tightening around you none-the-less.

You pull back with a relived smile, "Thank God you're here. I thought you weren't supposed to be here for another two weeks?"

Marie pecks your lips, "Nope. Surprise."

You unwrap your legs from her waist with a wide smile. "I can't believe you're earlier! Oh, Marie, I'm so happy! Even though the paparazzis are likely stalking us right now."

She chuckles at your worrisome personality. "Don't worry," she reassured, "you don't have to go to work."

"Marie, I can't skip work," you said sadly, wishing nothing more than.

"Yes, you can. I already talked to your boss," your eyes widen, "she helped me out. Her daughter's gonna be in and said she'll happily take your place."

Skeptically, you asked, "For the entire week?"

"Try entire month," she said with a smile, and you grinned.

"What?! No way!" the excitement was very much evident in your voice. Marie's smile widen. "Oh, my God, M!" you bring Marie back to you in a tight hug.

Your lips meet in a kiss intended to be much longer, but your excitement has gotten the better of you. Marie chuckles, "We leave tonight. No no will be on the streets to bombard us."

You eagerly nod, a large grin burning your cheeks. "Where are we going?"

"That's a surprise," Marie tapped your nose, then untangles herself from you and goes to the kitchen.

You follow after her and hop on the nearest counter. "A surprise? Has if the day hasn't taken me by surprise already," you chuckled.

She laughs lowly to herself and turns the stove on. "Breakfast for dinner?"

"Breakfast for dinner."

You groan. "Thanks for the food coma, babe."

Marie chuckles, not in a comatose food state like you are. She leans forward from the back of the small grey couch and starts collecting your guys's plates.

You lean your head back against the couch and close your eyes, enjoying the fullness of your stomach that was happily provided by your girlfriend.

You open your eyes when you feel a small pressure on your forehead. With a goofy grin, you lean up and catch your lips with Marie's in a sweet kiss.

She pulls away with a smile that matches yours, and joins you back on the couch.

"How long do we have?"

The sky is now almost completely dark, the city lights lighting up the horizon in a faint white glow. "The jet isn't going anywhere until you say so," she said against your temples.

You perk up and meet her eyes, "A private jet?" She nods, "M, you're spoiling me way too much."

"You're worth it."

Grinning from ear-to-ear, you press your lips to hers and enjoy the syrupy taste of her lips. Your stomach is no longer so full. "I love you," you whispered against her lips.

"I love you, too, baby."
