Who's Lexie?

New friend

Jo sat down next to Alex and just as April sat down, her pager buzzed and she ran off. This would be Lexie and Jo's first time meeting. They shared a smile before the table fell into an awkward silence.
"I heard uh- that you two dated before" Jo said awkwardly
"I actually forgot about that" Lexie said "thank you for bringing that up" she continued sarcastically and rolled her eyes at Alex, Jo and Lexie both laughed.
"Are you dating anyone now, I mean after mark..." Alex trailed off. Cristina gave him a look as to not continue his sentence and the table fell to another awkward silence for a moment.
"I actually am dating someone" Lexie admitted.
"Oo is he here with you" jo tried to bring back the energy to the table.
"Well actually she's not here, she's a cop and couldn't get enough time off work to come" she told them
"She? HA Karev, that's two girls you slept with that now sleep with girls" Cristina said, laughing.
Jo chocked on her water and both jo and Lexie laughed together.
The girls at the table laughed and Alex sat there annoyed. As the laughter quieted, Lexie brought up lunch with Kara and they all agreed to go, even Cristina.
"You guys were both adopted, you're a grey, where is she from?" Alex asked
"Well" She tried to come up with something.
"Wait actually" Alex interrupted her, "I don't really care" Jo looked at him like she was going to hit him then looked back at Lexie with a sorry face. Lexie was actually glad because she couldn't come up with anything and she's a bad lier.
"I feel bad you have to stay with him, you could stay with me" Cristina proposed.
"Actually, I think I'll be fine" Lexie said grinning at Jo
Just then, Alex's pager beeped at he went off and a minute later, Cristina left leaving Lexie and Jo sitting together.
They talked and got to know each other for awhile.
"So... your sister" Jo started, "why would she want to know me? We don't know each other" She continued
"We do now. And I'd want you there and I think she'd want to know the people I'll be staying with" Lexie said "also you could help ease the awkwardness that'll be between Kara and Cristina they won't like each other"
"Why wouldn't they?"
"Well kara smiles and cares about everyone and everything and Cristina is... well Cristina" she explained "and Kara likes almost everyone so she'll most likely like Cristina even if she's dark and twisty"
"Now you just have to tell me who the almost is, who doesn't she like?" Jo asked, dying to know for no real reason, she doesn't even know this girl.
"Well I could only think of Snapper right now" Lexie said
"Who's snapper?" Jo asked, still intrigued.
"Her boss, she's a reporter and he's tough but even then, she still somewhat likes him" she told her.
"She's a reporter? That's why she can't stay" jo sounded confused
"Well she has another job but that's a long story" Lexie tried to not sound suspicious.
"I have time" Jo said, wanting to hear more.
"No you don't because you're a doctor and probably have a surgery or something soon." Lexie said.
"You're right because I do have surgery in 15 minutes I should get going" Jo stood up and they shared a smile as she walked off and Lexie was left alone in the cafeteria, once again.

Kinda just a filler chapter but, Jo and Lexie, like I said, would be superior so here's that.
