On a Friday night, someone invited everyone to a party. It's basically a night out to have fun. I asked Ella, and she said it happens. And when it happens, we all have to go. I raised an eyebrow, thinking of Kurt. Would he be there?
Good news: he was there. Bad news: It's too crowded and difficult to get close to him. When I turned to Ella after downing a shot of alcohol in frustration, she grinned at me as she made it possible. I'm not next to him, but we're at least on the same booth. The other guys with him noticed my intention. One by one, they turned to go and dance.
"Hi." I finally greeted him. He only threw me a glance. Internally, I'm sighing. We've had short conversations before, which made me think we're getting close to each other. Maybe I could call him a friend, instead of a colleague, before I push it up to a boyfriend. But that didn't happen. I think it mostly depend on his mood or something. Right now, he's not in the mood to speak with me.
"Do you like parties?" I asked, with nothing better to ask. I leaned across the table, propping my chin on my hand. He glanced at me again and I noticed his gaze turning downwards. Uh? I looked down and flushed. I wasn't intentionally flashing him with my cleavage. I sat properly and I arranged my blouse higher, covering what needs to be covered. He seems to be glaring at me.
He stood up and I followed him with my gaze. When I noticed him slipping out the exit, I decided to follow. I had to rush if I didn't want to lose him. I breathe a sigh of relief when I saw him within my sight, walking down the street. Should I stalk him? I grinned. It could feel like we're walking together. It was more peaceful outside compared to the chaos of the club. We didn't get too far from the office. I watched him as I walked. I admired him from a distance.
"Why are you following me?" He asked as he stood still. I didn't realize when he looked back. I continued walking towards him.
"I just want to walk with you." I answered when I'm about five steps away from him.
I saw him frowning. He turned without a word and continued walking. I tilted my head. Isn't he going home? Why is he walking? We've reached the office building but he only passed by. I only glanced at it as I walked by. I have decided to continue following Kurt. It's fun. Weird how I feel that way, I know.
A few more minutes and he stopped near a tree on the sidewalk. I continued walking until I'm a few steps away again. I saw him step closer to me and I almost smiled, except his expression didn't look good. I felt a tug and I'm suddenly pushed against the tree. It happened too fast.
"If you don't go away, I'm going to fuck you against this tree." His words were very crude, something I wouldn't expect him to say, but it gave him a smoking hot image. I've heard him curse before, but he's maintained a somewhat tame reputation at school and at the office. I could feel his warm breath against my face. He's too close and I might have blushed. Does that mean he thinks of me that way?
I briefly glanced at the foliage overhead. "Can we at least do it in a hotel? In a bedroom? This tree looks uncomfortable and I'm not an exhibitionist."
Kurt's expression darkened even more. He huffed before pulling back. See, nothing happened. I was already imagining a different scenario in my head. I ran after him. Where is he going with all this walking? I reached out to grab his arm. Except...
When I touched him, he might have lost it a bit. He pulled me close and ravaged my mouth. This is more aggressive than when we were in college. And I loved it. It was sensual and I love the taste of him. It's been years since we had our first kiss.
When he pulled back, I found myself muttering under my breath, "That felt good." And I realized he did that willingly. My eyes widened at the realization that he, in fact, wanted me, too.
He let go of me and continued walking, a bit of frustration showing on his face. I still followed. This time I kept a certain distance. One foot. I giggled at my own silliness.
Kurt turned and I saw him entering an apartment building. Does he live here? I quickly slipped inside after him. This would explain why he doesn't bother with a car. It's too close to the office. Kurt's unit is on the first floor. I slipped inside his unit, too. I walked forward to survey his home. I dropped my little bag on the mini table in his living room.
"I'll give you ten seconds to get the fuck out." He stated in a harsh tone.
"Do I have to?" I returned. I might really get him angry. But I'm feeling reckless at the moment. I'm a bit tired trying to figure him out. If he's angry, he'll be angry.
"If you don't, I'll keep you here and fuck you until morning."
I stilled at hisstatement. Or was that supposed to be a threat? I shivered as I recall myimagined scenario regarding that. I've forgotten when I started imaginingmyself being with him. "I'm looking forward to it." What did I just say outloud?
