Tru hurried through the precinct to the SVU squad room. In the hour since she had gotten the letter she had went through a whirlwind of emotions; panic, hysteria, crying, determined to stop it and back to panic. She entered the squad room and right away saw his team members. Amanda was at her desk typing something on her computer, she looked up for a second when Tru entered and then looked right back to the computer. Fin was coming out of the break room opening a bottle of water.

"Tru, everything okay?" Fin asked.

"Is Sonny here?" She asked.

"Yeah, he's in interrogation right now." Fin answered, just then they heard the door open. Sonny came out, shaking his head at something the guy in interrogation had said.

"Some people, man," He noticed Tru right away, her rapid breath, the puffy red eyes, "what's wrong?"

"Sonny, we need to talk," Tru said.

Sonny put his hand on her back and led her into the break room where he shut the door behind them. "What's going on?"

"He's up for parole." Tru said.

Sonny narrowed his eyes, "He who?" He asked cautiously.

"Carson Goldberg," Tru spoke his name with utter distain and hatred.

"What?" Sonny exclaimed, "How? Its not time yet."

"Something about prison over crowding and good behavior. They've been talking with his doctors who seem to think he's ok, and not a threat to society."

"He's a threat to you," Carisi said.

"The hearing is in two days, they said I have the right to speak at it." Tru said. "How could you have not known? I thought they kept you in the loop on things like that."

"Ever since Stone left, we have been short an ADA," Carisi said, "They've been pulling in ones from other districts to handle the cases we have now...I'm sure it just slipped through the cracks."

A silence fell between them, Tru stared at Carisi but she barely even saw him she was so lost in her own thoughts.

Carisi sighed, "It's hard but you absolutely need to testify at this hearing. Goldberg is so good at manipulation and if you don't, he's gonna be able to paint himself anyway he pleases." He said.

"He wants to meet with me before his hearing." Tru bit her bottom lip.

"What? No, absolutely not." Carisi said. Tru was quiet for a minute, and Carisi looked her over. "Are you actually considering this?"

"No...I don't know." Tru said. "Part of me never wants to see him ever again...but the other part is telling me that I need to find a way to forgive him, so I can move on."

"I hear what you're saying but...Forgive? What he did to you is unforgivable." Carisi said.

Tru nodded, Carisi pulled her into a hug, gripping her tight. "It's okay, we'll figure this out, okay? It's gonna be okay," He soothed.

Tru sat at the desk she and Carisi shared. It was tucked into a corner in their living room. Her own police file spread out in front of her. The pictures of her bruises, case notes from the detectives—from Sonny, and Carson's arrest picture. She nervously bit the end of a pen in between twirling it.
