Okay first of all this is your opinion and I respect it, i agree with you on some things yet in others I disagree.
Clato is the better ship, that's just unquestionable.

Clato is a better ship because Glimmer seems like that girl who would do anything to be with the hottest and strongest guy. Which is why in the movie, she was sleeping next to him and flirting with him.

However I think the movies did Glimmer dirty. I do think film Glimmer is like that in fact we see it with our own eyes but I don't think intentionality Suzanne Collins was trying to make Glimmer into the girl, rather it was Gary Ross' desicison.

Glimmer in the film is horrible! She's annoying and bitchy and flirts with Cato!
But she never did that in the books, in fact in the books there's this really cool thing she does, or well tries to do, which is the bring a poisonous ring into the arena.

I understand why they cut it in the films but that's what Glimmer should've been like in the films.

I do hate glimmer cause whether you like it or not she does get in the way of Clato.
But I don't hate her for it because it's not her fault the movies made her into a total slut.

She was supposed to be a vicious career and they turned her into what?

A dumb flirtatious girl!

But you're right Glato IS a terrible ship.

Clove however has more of a platonic friendship towards the beginning, but at the time of Clove's death we see Cato calling for her begging her to stay with him, crying over her dead body.

We see Cato mourning her and promising to avenge her, even Katniss (who isn't the most sensitive ) sees the pain and desperare in his eyes when he loose Clove!
There's also his cornucopia speech which some may or may not be about clove...

It is said that one or the other, or even both or them, used to love each other.

I mean that's true cause like if Cato was to like anyone who do you think he would choose, the girl he's probably know all his life and who's been there for him (assuming they knew each other) that reminds him of home or the girl he just met?

He would obviously choose Clove!

Anyways that's @funkurodani_flynn 's reasoning as to why Clato is the better ship!
