"Don't run."
The renowned captain of the 7th battalion brigade said under his breath.
"Jeon Jungkook!" Taehyung screams as he runs for his life towards his love hoping he's not too late, ".. y-you can't leave just like that!" He further adds as soldiers from both sides bear witness to the melancholic scene, "I can't let them take you."
"Don't run! Jimin! Take him!" Jungkook shouts back!
"What do I do if you just leave like that?" Taehyung shouts as tears are streaming down his face, "How would I live after you leave like that?" and kept running towards him.
Taehyung is a few feet away, his weak body powers on through the pain he feels all over his body.
"What should I do?" Tae shouts.
Jungkook grew up in the military all his life.
Being an orphan isn't a problem for him as he found his own family throughout his training years. He has learned character development, discipline, the meaning of hard work, perseverance and above all else respect for the North Korea Armed Forces.
But looking at the only person who gave and made him feel love ran towards him with desperation as if life depended on catching a few more glimpses of him on his final day.
He didn't foresee himself dismissing and showing his arms loosely held by two guards trying to restrain him - he was ordered to go back home and face charges of deceit and treason for helping a man cross borders to ensure his safety from his neighbouring country.
It was all worth it as long as Taehyung is safe together with his family, back to where he belongs, his home, his country, South Korea.
Jungkook ran toward Taehyung, trying his best to catch him as he saw Taehyung's legs wobble but still trying to run to meet him faster.
North Korea guards quickly drew their weapons, seeing that South Korean soldiers did the same - it's a standoff between 2 nations.
Tensions are high as this situation is unprecedented.
Like the characters written by Shakespeare - Romeo and Juliet, fate once again separates two star crossed lovers. The character's story, rather than found in literature it'll be written on military black ops reports that no one else could read.
They hug tightly, the only sound that can be heard was Taehyung's crying as both party and onlookers watch the lovers and their friend risk their lives for this hug - their love.
"You're not fully recovered," Jungkook's tone is pleading, heavy with worry, "what if you collapsed again?"
"Can't you take better care of yourself?"
Taehyung looked at him, his right palm cupping Jungkook's face, whipping a stray tear running down his left cheek over his scar. He looked at the North Korean guards not paying mind to the rising tension that they've caused.
"Why are they putting handcuffs on you?" Taehyung immediately asks. "Are you getting arrested?"
"..."
"No. No! I won't let them. I can't do that! I can't let them do that!" Taehyung firmly relents, "I can't let you go. You can't. Don't leave. Can't you stay here?"
"Don't worry. Do you not know me? Nothing will happen."
"But why are they dragging you over? What if something happens to you over there?" Taehyung cries harder. "It's all because of me. It's all my fault."
"Nothing will happen," Jungkook assures him, "but even if something happens, it's not your fault."
"I don't have regrets, you came into my life like a gift, I'm just grateful for that." Jungkook tries harder to hold onto Taehyung's arms the latter then collapses.
