•Chapter 20•
•3rd Person•"So what's your plan?" Y/n asked.
"I noticed Kim really likes birds and there's some outside. So maybe if we can get a picture of one, she'll tell us where the bologna is from." Sal explained.
"That sounds like a good plan but how will we get a picture of the bird?" Y/n questioned.
"I borrowed Ash's camera from her locker, I don't think she'll mind." Sal said
"Hm sneaky are we?" Y/n teased
"Oh what ever." Sal said playfully
The two partners walk outside with the camera.
Sal was looking around in the tree for a bird.
"Do you seen any?" Y/n asked
"No, but I can definitely hear it." Sal
said"Aha! I got it!" Sal said while taking the picture.
"Good job, let's go give it to kim now!" Y/n said.
They then walk out into the cafeteria approaching kim.
"Hey kim, I got something for you." Sal said taking the photo out of his pocket.
"What this? A photograph?... Of birdie?.. You take picture, eh? Kim questioned
"Yeah, I took it for you. Just a small thanks for all you do." Sal said politely
"You sweet couple.Thank you" Kim said smiling.
The two had never seen Kim smile before but it was very sweet.
"So we were wondering, can you tell us where the school buys the bologna from?" Y/n asked.
"Why you so interested in bologna for?" Kim questioned
"Oh, uh, my friends and I really like it and want to know where we can get some." Y/n quickly made up from the top of their head.
"Is local made by Mrs. Packerton. One hundred percent beef. She brings from farm once a week." Kim explained.
"Here I give you both some extra meats for bringing Kim nice photograph." Kim said giving the two bags of bologna.
"Thank you so much!" Sal said
"Yeah, thank you Kim!" Y/n added on.
"Guess that was easier than expected." Y/n said.
"Yeah, let's head back to the lab. This will probably be useful to Todd." Sal said.
The two then started walking to the Lab hand in hand.
They were still adjusting to their relationship but every little thing made the both happy non the less.
"Hey, I'mma go to the bathroom real quick." Sal started
"Oh okay, I'll meet you in the lab then" y/n said kissing Sal's prosthetic cheek then walking off.
Sal smiled and went in the bathroom.
As he walked in he saw a note on the floor next to the bathroom.
"Hm looks like someone tried to throw this away and missed.... Couldn't hurt to take a peak!" Sal said opening the crumbled paper.
"I know we don't really know each other and you probably have your own opinions of me. I thought maybe if I told you how I feel, things could be different. The truth is, I can't stop thinking about you. I'm crazy about you. I think your amazing! But I know these feelings are wrong. It's not the way a boy should feel. Shame swallows me whole, just writing these words. My father would kill me but I can't live in his shadow forever. I just"
"Damn, then there's just a bunch of scribbles after that. Man..." Sal placed the note back down and walked to one of the stalls.
There were a pair of green shoes under one of the stalls, but who?
"Anyone in there?" Sal asked.
"No duh, fuckwad. Buzz off!" Someone shouted.
It sounded familiar.
"Travis? Were you just... crying a second ago?" Sal then said.
"Sally Face? I- No! What the hell? Can't a guy get some privacy?" The now know person Travis then yelled again.
"Why do you hate me so much?" Sal asked sitting by the stall
"Because you and your dum friends are a bunch of homos! It's sick, it's not right. God should never love you why should I?! Travis said while sniffling.
"You know we all aren't actually gay right? I mean, besides for Todd. Todd is super gay" sal explained.
"But that's part if who he is and I think it's wonderful. He's one of the kindest people I know. How could someone hate Todd" Sal said about his friend.
"Ugh!" Travis shouted out.
"Is your.. Father pushing these beliefs on you?" Sal questioned
"Just because my dad is a preacher doesn't mean he owns me! I'm my own person!" Travis tried to convince.
"Yeah well, you seem so unhappy." Sal said.
"Are you sure your dad isn't putting to much pressure on you? I bet it's hard being the son of such a intense man" Sal questioned once more.
"You have no idea what its like." Travis sighed.
"I'm sorry man." Sal felt bad for the boy.
"Don't be sorry for me. Sally face, I don't need your pity." Travis said stubbornly.
"We don't have to be enemies, you know that right?sal said
"I think under all that anger, there's a good dude who's afraid to be himself." Sal said.
"If you ever need someone to talk to or if you need to get away from your dad for awhile, you can hang out with me." Sal suggested.
"... Why-why are you being so nice to me?" Travis questioned.
"Your not a bad person Travis." Sal said.
"You know, I don't really hate you or your friends. " Travis admitted.
"I didn't really think so" sal said
"Oh, here. I was gonna flush this down the toilet but I guess you can have it. Found it on your desk." Travis said sliding a item under the stall.
"Its a envelope with my name on it." Sal said examining the envelope.
There was an old journal page inside.
"Thanks" sal thanked Travis
"Okay now scram so I can have my alone time. And uh... " Travis started.
"What?" Sal questioned
"Don't tell anyone about this Or.Your.Dead!" Travis explained
"I won't, promise." Sal said then got up from the bathroom floor to leave
