And they meet a cranky want to be left alone ogre named shrek who's swamp gets infested with fairy tale creatures by the order of lord farquad. A snarky short man who demands perfection in his kingdom of duloc. Now accompanied by Steven and Connie, and a talking donkey who won't shut up, they make a deal that farquad will take everyone he dumped off shrek's property if he rescues a princess named Fiona from a dragon guarded castle so that he can officially become king.
