Chapter 13 *Beach Adventures*

(Taku and Dai were in the water. Dai was swimming in his shirt.)

Taku: "Dude, take that thing off. You're embarrassing me."

Dai: "You embarrass me everyday and I'm not going to get sunburn for you just s you can get rejected by some girls."

Taku: "Ugh, maybe you need a little burn. You're pale as a vampire."

Dai: "Our family doesn't get tan, we just get burnt, maybe some freckles, but mostly burnt, and I don't' wanna hear you talking. You're as pale as me."

Taku: "No I'm no-"

(Taku looked down at his body and saw that Dai was right. He was extremely pale.)

Taku: "Oh god, when were you going to tell me this."

Dai: "How do you not notice? Don't you look in a mirror?"

Taku: "I do, but I try not to pay too close attention. First i see I'm handsome, then I see a pimple, then something else and then next thing I know my self esteem is low and I'm eating ice cream in the shower."

Dai: "Oh yeah, we ran out of a lot of Ice cream. Well I don't know, go find some tanning lotion or something. Maybe you can look tan for a little bit."

Taku: "That's a thing? I thought that was only in cartoons."

Dai: *sigh* "Yes it's a thing. They probably have some up front."

Taku: "Ok, I'll go check."

(Taku ran out of the water as fast as he could. Dai still hung out in the water.)

Dai: "Hey, get me some water while you're up there! He better get me some water."

(Taku was running as fast as he could. He needed to get this tanning lotion on him fast or ladies would see him as a pale man, and girls aren't into pale guys, right? Taku couldn't think right now. He just needed that tanning lotion. He got up to the front desk where it looked like some teen was hanging out. It was probably his summer job, and he wasn't taking it seriously.)

Teen: "Can I like help you or something?"

(He said this in a sarcastic tone. He flipped his bangs after he said it too, but Taku was too busy to make fun of this kid.)

Taku: "Hi, I need a bottle of tanning lotion."

Teen: "Uh, ok. That'll be like 100 yen."

Taku: "100 yen?!"

Teen: "Uh, yeah."

Taku: "Ugh, ok I'll be right back. Don't go anywhere."

Teen: "I like can't or I'll get fired."

(Taku ran out the door and headed over to where Kazu and Reo were, but he ran right into some guy on his way over there.They both fell right on the ground, and this guy didn't seem too happy.)

Drunk guy: "H-hey, *hic*. W-why a-are you r-running so fast? *hic*"

Taku: "Sorry, I'm in a hurry. Girls might see me like this."

(The drunk guy gave him an up and down look.)

Drunk guy: "Y-yeah, you're r-right. *hic* G-girls don't w-wanna see that."

Taku: "What? No. I mean I'm- Ugh forget it. I'm in a hurry."

(Taku turned around and started running)

Drunk guy: "H-hey wait-"

(Taku ignored this guy calling for him. He had more important things to do. He kept running, but then he heard someone else call for him. Someone he had to stop for.)
