(It was the day of the funeral. Lots of people were there, all dressed up. Mr. Clone and Protector made it like they said, but they stayed in more of the back. Selene was standing over the casket. It was closed because of Ruri's neck wound. Tears were rolling down Selene's cheeks. She was gone, actually gone. Her last family member died right in front of her, and she did nothing. Kazu walked next to Selene. He stopped by her side and looked at the casket with her. Selene's eyes didn't move.)
Kazu: "She was great. Help us out a lot."
(Selene nodded her head.)
Kazu: "I'm sorry Selene."
(Kazu padded her on the back and walked off. Selene still stood there staring at the casket. Reo sat in a chair in the back. He was the only one not dressed very nicely. Sara walked over to him and sat next to him.)
Sara: "Did you not have a suit? Kazu offered to buy everyone something nice if they didn't have it."
Reo: "He's too poor to buy everyone a suit anyway. Plus, it's a funeral, why do you have to dress up so nice."
Sara: "To respect Ruri."
Reo: "Whatever."
(Reo stood up and headed for the door.)
Sara: "Wait, did you say anything to Selene?"
Reo: "We live together. I'll say something there."
(Reo has only been to one funeral his entire life, and this makes two. He wasn't a fan. Dai and Taku were walking in as Reo was leaving.)
Taku: "Woah, where you headed?"
Reo: "Shut it."
Dai: "Reo, what about the funeral?"
Reo: "It's not gonna stop cuz I'm not there."
(Reo walked off.)
Taku: "Huh, guess he got too emotional."
Dai: "Well that's one way of saying it."
(Taku and Dai walked in. They knew mostly everyone there. There was a girl sitting by herself that Dai has never seen before, but he ignored it. He walked over to Selene.)
Dai: "Selene, I'm so sorry."
Selene: *sniffle*.
(Selene wiped her nose and nodded. Dai nodded and walked away. He sat in a seat next to Taku. Everyone started to take their seats. Selene stood in front of them all, facing them.)
Selene: *sniffle* "Ruri, Ruri was a great sister, and an even better caregiver. She wanted to help as many people as she could and that's why she would save victims of villain attacks in Tokyo. She would get made fun of because she wasn't a hero, but she didn't care. As long as she helped people, she was happy. *sniffle* The number one person she wanted to help was me. She wanted to be close by me all the time to make sure I was safe. When I refused to go to Tokyo with her, she came here. She practically gave her life away just to protect me and I will always be grateful for that. *sniffle* She was the best, and I love her dearly."
(Selene turned to the casket for a moment. Her eyes filled with tears.)
Selene: "Thank you, Ruri. For being the best sister I could ask for."
(Selene walked away and took a seat. She was the only one going to speak. She was the only family. No one knew Ruri that long so no one could say anything. Dai wanted to say something, but he couldn't find the courage. After that the funeral kind of went by in a flash. Everyone gave Selene their condolences and then left. Mr. Clone and Protector went back to their city and that girl Dai didn't know was nowhere to be seen. All that was left was the team and they all headed home. It was a silent drive back. Kazu could've teleported everyone back, but he decided just to drive. Everyone was just looking out the window and being quiet. No one said a word. When they got there it was still quiet. Selene went up into her room without a word. Shortly after Reo came down stairs drying his hair.)
