A New Path

The trip to the city was quite a long one, if seen through the eyes of other people who had no one to spend time talking to, which was the complete opposite of you.

For starters, Sasha was the one who made the most agitated atmosphere, commenting a thousand and one trivia about the big city, besides asking you several questions about what you thought of this new experience of everyone going to a more civilized dwelling.

Eren recalled many of the ideas discussed in the previous days about how the defense tactics of the walls could have been improvised after so many months of training in the military field, he was hopeful to see humanity come back on top after the tragic events of that fateful day. 

Armin commented on the possibility of seeing the sea, considering that the exploration troop could be a unique opportunity for a position to see more than just the isolated environment of this social prison, his optimism made you more relieved with the situation.

Mikasa, on the other hand, throughout the trip, kept her arms around your body and whispered words in your ear so that only the two of you could hear. She preferred to keep matters between the two of you as private as possible, mostly involving your well-being and reminiscing about certain previous events at the camp that still left you totally embarrassed.

All cadets had to ride horses to follow a long land path to the edge of the walls, splitting into pairs because there were not so many animals available.

Obviously, before you could even say anything, Mikasa had jumped in and acquired the position behind you. Her warm breath made you goose bump, even a little muffled by having the scarf in front of her lips, it was noticeable that she was doing it with the intention of teasing you.

Quite honestly, you were still frustrated that you couldn't even kiss her, that was your deepest desire. But because you were under the supervision of Shadis and your other friends, it was essential that you maintained your military posture, not letting yourself be easily weakened by the discreet caresses Mikasa's hands occasionally made across the barely exposed skin of your hips.

"Mikasa... Stop it, now is not the time..." you said in a low voice, biting your lower lip a little firmly, looking sideways at her.

"I'm just taking advantage of the opportunity, there's still a long way to go" she replied with great simplicity, not even seeming to care about the risks in the eyes of others, being in full control of her own actions.

"You really are a troublemaker, did you know that...?" you ended up laughing a little, but stopping when you felt her lips touch your neck gently as she opened a gap in the scarf, causing the heat in your body to suddenly increase.

"All because of you" Mikasa had a notoriously amused tone with her reactions, coupled with the lust that was taking over not only her, but you slowly as well.

"Damn, you're hopeless..." you shuddered completely, swallowing hard as you tried to focus on the path, tapping the horse's reins a little as you realized you were losing the speed of the other cadets, returning to line up with your friends.

Sasha broke into a big smile when she saw your approach, nodding in your direction.

"(Y/N)! We were just talking about you!" she indicated the other two boys right beside her, with a somewhat conspiratorial look.

Armin covered his face with his palms, blushing slightly.

"You weren't supposed to tell her now!" he scolded the girl, a little awkwardly.

"Oh, my bad!" Sasha scratched the back of her neck, smiling a little nervously.

Eren shook his head from side to side, laughing a little.
