Her eyes glowed with astonishment; unable to grasp what he said was true. She revolved her mind to remember what day it actually is. "March 1st..." she whispered softly, "I couldn't believe that the person I used to wish virtually years ago and whom doesn't even noticed me is right next to me right now!"
She revealed sitting with her legs crossed letting herself in to a conversation.
He peered to see her face becoming serious and serious.
"Virtually..." Justin's curiosity increased, "which social media you are in?" "Twitter, Facebook, and Whatsapp," she answered frankly. Justin is known to be one of the most gimmicky persons ever, especially when it comes to know something.
His heart yearned to ask her ID and he did ask it round about, so does Melissa answered him. "If I'd have known it's you... I'd have definitely noticed you!" he murmured to himself.
"Anyway, happy birthday Justin... May God bless you to be happy and safe everyday!" She wished gently and gracefully.
His face bloomed with delight, he thanked her for her heartily wishes, though it faded away because he was expecting something more than words; perhaps a peck on his cheek. She was the first ordinary person to wish him firstly in his birthday.
They were surrounded by an inclement weather in which they were warmed by a bonfire. Melissa apologized from Justin saying that it is because of her that his special day ruined.
Justin accepted it; he found her childish apology as alluring. He ensured her that his special day has become more special because of her presence and that he has never experienced a birthday like this before. "So, how old are you now?" Asked Melissa.
"26" said Justin and he asked back from her the same question.
"23" The dark sky blazed merrily due to the stars' presence and it was a perfect moment for a dance under the star light.
Justin stood up valiantly and offers his arm; his pinkish palm trembled slightly.
Bravely as a gentleman, "may I have this honour for a dance?" Justin enjoyed her reaction, smiling at Melissa's wide-eyed daze. But it soon faded away when she answers with a no.
Which girl would say no to dance with Justin, but she did. She was embarrassed because she has never danced with anyone before, thus she denied humbly and elegantly. He was pleased with her graceful shyness and found it as another instinct of her.
"You are the first to deny my request!" he stuttered in disbelief with a worried smile on his face.
She asked what his new plans are from now on and he answered lazily with a lack of ideas.
She described: "26 maybe just another age, but it's time for you to be responsible entirely and lead your way in the righteous path with aid of conscience and wisdom"
And furthermore she described herself, "although in my every birthday, I've never felt any difference because all that time I was aimed to do good and be a good one to those I am around and to the whole nature."
They engaged in a non-stop conversation.
Justin: "Know what, one day I'll come here again to star gaze with my children."
Melissa: (laughing) "well, I wonder how many wives gonna come with you!"
