It was incredulous that they have spent 3 days travelling together in a train. Three days of mingled emotions, and mostly of complications.

He averted to see the girl who is half awakened. Eager not to wake her up he lay back against the seat glancing at her childishness, her immense natural beauty and her truthfulness. He could not stay silent anymore since they were in a train not his own automobile.

“Oi, crazy horse!” he cried, waking her up.

“Wha… what!” Melissa said, rubbing her eyes to get a clear view.

“When you sleep you’re like a crazy horse… So don’t ever try to sleep again in front of another stranger!” said Justin at once, clasping her luggage and standing up.

Melissa thought of what lies behind his words and she remembered he was reminding of the night at Joshua tree, “nonsense!”She muttered.

“Come on, we must go. We are in New York now…” he replied with a sudden shock in his heart.

They took the sidewalks and finally approached a cab, whilst Justin had to cover his face as much as he can.

Melissa felt as if she is dropped in to an alien planet from nowhere to somewhere experiencing the street which was teeming with lots of crowds; half of them were jay-walkers, louder everywhere and it was typically an alienation for her (if Justin was not there).

“Walk faster…” he urged her whom was fancied by the gigantic city; in which she photographed.

“C’mon!” he murmured as he grabbed her wrist and moved faster towards the cab.

“Hey!” She sounded, annoyingly.

“This not the place to take pictures of the random- tall buildings…” he replied as they entered the cab.

Now that she is in a pleasant and a proper atmosphere to capture, she peeped from the shutter just like a little kiddy taking snapshots of her dreamy city. However, she was idealess that the person right next to her was drowned in an astounded world of emotions and that he is the exact reason for her protectiveness.

Finally, they reached to her cousin’s place; although seemingly there was no sign of anyone at the house because even the windows were shut.

The bell was ring, door was knocked and they ought to question the neighboring houses.

“Yes… yes they were here, but unfortunately all of them left day before yesterday and did not arrived after all. Thus, I haven’t seen them since then,” the neighbor replied and added, “I’m really sorry!”

Melissa’s hopefulness and expectations shattered in to pieces, because it was not the way she expect. Seating on the pew outside, she forlornly said:

“Oh, God, I never expect this would happen this way…” She deplored with a woeful face, “Why did they do this to me? Why?” Melissa asked herself.

Justin gave a consoling touch to her shoulder, and joined beside her.

“It’s alright… don’t worry!” he comforted her, patting to her shoulder.

“You don’t know… my parents and I was relied on them because they are our relatives- close ones. And why did they just trick me in to this? It all shows how less-careful they are of me… abandoning me in this uncertain realm,” she relieved her anguish and tribulations beside Justin.

She looked extremely pathetic, that words spilled from his lips to bring solace.

“Everything’s gonna be alright…”

She broke out in to tears, saying:

“My parents… How can I reveal the truth to them? If I tell them this whole thing … I don’t wanna crush their hearts because they are already facing troubles there. I was brought here as a help, and my aunt said then I could deliver my academic qualifications to the best university before my vacay ends… see how it is like in here. We trusted them, unless I’d never come here alone myself. But now they are nowhere to be seen!”

She wept, and spilled the beans about her distress.

“To which University have you applied?” he asked curiously.

“New York University of Animal studies…” she said softly, sobbing tears.

“Very well, Melissa; if your heart is set upon it and you see your way through… and whichever way you decide, I’ll do my best to help you,” Justin compromised and admits that he does not like seeing her crying.

She looked at him with her lips parted, thinking whether is this the real person whom everybody was talking so controversially those days. With his helpful words, her sorrow seemed to fade away and she was strengthened.

“No… You’ve done enough Justin! I couldn’t imagine what would have happened to me if you weren’t there… actually… I think you must leave now!” said Melissa. Firstly, hearing her compliments his face glowed just like a newly-wedded bridegroom’s, but it dimmed hearing the last lines.

Though he denied, she insisted him: “I don’t want you to be in this anymore… Risking your own career and image because of a commoner like me… Just go!”

Whatever his feelings might have been, with a brief silence- they parted at the gate. She felt a sudden burden in her, as he paced away and he felt that each and every pace he takes away seems to solitude.

Melissa turned to him, hence all of a sudden a huge bunch of photographers, paparazzi, journalists rushed towards him covering him and interfering his vision on her. Justin turned away quickly, ignoring her as if he does not know her and got in to his car which was brought by his manager.

“The luggage…” Mr. Braun asked.

“Keep it there…” he reciprocated pointing at the gates.

She stared with a sudden shock at his reaction and a dolor was pinching her heart. Melissa too turned away after saying a “thank you” to Scooter.

The reason behind his ignorance is for her own safety, she did not realized that he behaved as if he does not know her is to prevent paparazzi from taking photos from her.

Her lips parted, turning back again watching the distant view of the car surrounded by the Paparazzi, hoping to say something.

Her heart pounded in each step she took, she reminded of how he read her mind like a letter, how he lend a helping hand during her neediest moments and how careful he was of her, staying by her side all the time and for all that she did not even got a chance to thank him.

Justin saw her via the vent window.

“She seems sad…” said Mr. Braun.

Justin nodded and said, “It’s not because of me!”

“Who is she?” asked Mr. Braun.

He remained silent, speechless and completely bewildered by that simple question.
