"She shouldn't be talking to us that way Justin!" Kendall puts forward the notion quite angrily. Justin remained quiet. "Whoever fault it is, she shall not speak to us that way..." she proceeded, "you being our best friend, why didn't you speak against her?" And she concluded with a scoff which left Justin agreed to her.
Justin leaves the ballroom with the idea of bringing back Melissa to apology from his friends. Whereas Melissa, ends up by the poolside where she takes out her exasperation on the poolside furniture.
Justin found her nearby the poolside and insisted her to apology from them by a high tone.
His anger sensitized to a soft tone seeing her tearful and completely quiet. "Hey..."
"It wasn't my fault!" She said weeping tears. Justin has seen her crying only once because of her mother, but has not seeing her crying even during her hardest moments, yet he was surprised this time.
"But you shouldn't be talking to them that way... They're my-"
He was cut out as she started highlighting the whole scene. "You don't know what they said- don't you? I was completely shattered, they just referred me as a-" Melissa gulped the word back, the tears started falling on her cheeks.
"Are they supposed to be your friends? Friends who don't even know how to treat a guest, talk either act? What kinda friends are they!"
"Don't talk of my friends that way!" Justin shouted.
"They just disgraced me wholly... I've never went through such shame ever in my life! They were about to presume me as a-" She gulped the word back again, "and about to disgrace my family... You're telling me to praise them?"
Justin had nothing to say, in fact he was mollified. Next, Melissa revealed how wistful she was during that moment.
"I- I hoped and pleaded someone to come and help me... From the inside..." She expressed her bitterness over every phrase she revealed. "I even forgot to thank Austin, he just saved my remaining honour. And there you came pretending like a marvel hero... About to end up the mess in another mess!"
She said bringing back humiliation over him, "what if it ended up in a fight and I'm gonna be the reason that ruins your party. It's almost ruined now... I shouldn't have come here..."
Justin commenced speaking indistinctly, "Whoa... You should have told him then to take you home!" He was pretty envied because she mentioned Austin's name.
That instant Melissa spoke of satisfaction and kept aside the dwelling on the past.
"Well, if I really met him before... I would have asked helped from him of course!" As soon as he heard it, Justin kept one footstep away about to storm off, yet, "but, he may not be like you..." she said, with her eyes laid to the opposite side of him. "Ah?" Justin was mesmerized hearing compliments from her voice.
"Ahhh... I meant he is not silly like you and won't be that funny" She summarized, covering up the praise she was about to reveal.
