Chapter 6: Lyra’s POV

Word travels fast at our school, as soon as I hear about Shelia, I come running to the Cafeteria. On the way there, I text Nolan.

Shelia and Analia got into an argument, come to the dormitory asap.

Nolan and Analia are totally crazy for each other; I am not sure how they can’t even see it. I put my phone into my pocket and walk through the doors.

I see Analia in Alexander’s embrace. I watch her arms limply push against his chest.

“What the heck are you doing Alexander?!” I yell, pulling him away from my best friend. I look over at Analia to make sure she is ok.

I watch my best friend stand a little taller and try to wipe the runny mascara of her face. I walk towards her link my arm in hers.

As we walk back to the dormitory, I glance at Celeste. She is right; we need to tell Analia about our school.

Celeste and I leave Analia to go inside our dorm.

“We need to tell her,” Celeste says, “she has already seen Shelia, so I think she needs to find out more with us than on her own.”

Immediately, I disagree. The thought of telling Analia this in one night is overbearing; Analia is very sensitive and does not take change well.

I remember when her plane had landed here; it was a private one, obviously since the public had recently discovered she was a princess and she held a secret.

As I ran into the airplane, she collapsed in my arms, and told me her deepest secrets.

I look at Celeste but she has already gone inside, carrying in her book. Celeste has already started; so I go over to my desk to do my English homework.

Grabbing a clean sheet; I start writing.

Till death do us part, I now pronounce you man and wife. My heart flutters in his smile. I can barely hear the words the priest is saying. He puts his hand underneath my veil, and his head lurches forward. I can only see his eyes now, they glisten in the sunlight. I knew I had made the right decision when my lips were surprised by the gentle waves crashing onto my soul.

I hear the door open and my head flinches in that direction. It is Nolan, I look over to Analia but she stares in shock. Slowly, Analia’s feet move across the floor and she falls into his arms.

I smile and look over at Celeste who was beaming with happiness. Quickly, I wonder if she has told Analia that she can read minds.

I walk up to Celeste and give her a side hug; we both stand there as if watching our own baby grow up.

After what seems like forever, Analia looks up at his face. Suddenly, I notice something. He had been crying. His swollen, puffy red eyes were a dead giveaway.

“How, how did you get here?” whispers Analia. Her face has gone pale and she just stares at him with curiosity. “How did you know where I was?” she asks.

Nolans POV

I look down at her and smile.

“Secrets.” I say. Her head comes up slowly and mine bends down. I barely have time to register what is happening as soon as her lips crash down on mine.
