it took your eyes a while to adjust to the darkness around you, your mind slow to register your surroundings. you blinked once, twice, scanning the room. your eyes fell on the alarm clock next to you, which told you it was 4 in the morning. but you didn't have an alarm clock. you always depended on your phone. yet here the clock was, sitting just a few inches away from you, the numbers displayed glowing a bright red. that's when you realized you were not in your room.

panic washed over you for a split second, then you felt the arm around you shift, bringing you closer to a warm body. you looked to your side, watching the sleeping boy beside you. he had his glasses on, slightly tilted to one side and resting on the bridge of his nose. his lips were somewhat parted, eliciting light snores. he looked so beautiful, calm and at peace. you allowed yourself to snuggle closer to him, burying your face against his chest. he smelled so nice, the fabric of his shirt soft against your skin.

you suddenly remembered the heated events of the previous night, and remembered that you had taken off your blouse. you looked down to your body, surprised to find that you were fully clothed in a huge sweater and boxers, your feet hugged by a warm pair of socks. you realized that seungmin must have dressed you up while you were asleep, and your heart did a little jump. why did he have to be so sweet to you? it was making it hard for you to draw the line in the messed up relationship the two of you had.

you sighed deeply, peeling yourself away from him, but careful enough not to wake him up. you struggled for a moment in the dark to find a pair of slippers, and resorted to walk out of the room in his socks. you gently opened and closed the door behind you, and tiptoed down the stairs, trying hard not to wake anyone in the house. you finally reached the bottom step, and you froze when you realized that the TV in the living room was on. before you could retreat up the stairs, the kitchen light switched on.

"y/n?"

you winced, looking up to see a half-asleep, freckled boy stand a few feet in front of you. he looked at you as if he wasn't sure you were really there, one hand holding a brownie and a glass of milk in his other hand.

"felix?" you whispered, feeling even more confused. felix was one of seungmin's bandmates and a neighbor. him and seungmin had been friends for a long while, bonding the most out of the 8 boys. but what was he doing in minnie's house so early in the morning?

"what are you doing here?" you both asked at the same time, and a small smile formed on his lips.

"you first," you demanded, at the same time he did.

"fine," you sighed, walking into the kitchen and grabbing a glass from the shelf.

"i slept over," you shrugged, as if it was totally normal for you to be sleeping in seungmin's bed when you barely interacted at school. he raised an eyebrow at you, but was kind enough not to probe.

"same. me changbin, han, and minho slept over." he took a bite from his brownie and proceeded to drink the milk before chewing.

oh, great. was the whole band here? just what you needed.

you looked back at the living room, where three bodies were sprawled on the couch and floor, in a deep sleep and snoring loudly. you awkwardly smiled at him and poured yourself some water, throwing your head back to drink and exposing your neck.

"fun sleepover, huh?' felix remarked, and you choked, the water in your mouth leaving through your nose as you coughed a fit. felix laughed before hitting your back, trying to help you catch your breath. dumb, dumb, dumb bitch ass, you thought as your hands flew to your neck, remembering minnie's marks. you liked life, but you wanted nothing more than to disappear, to maybe melt onto the floor and seep through the tiles and bury yourself in the earth.
