JUSTINE'S P.O.V
"I'm taking you home." Toby grabbed my car key from the table this afternoon.
"Why would you? Who let you." I tried to grab it back but he's too tall. "Give it back you boy."
"No. I seriously need to talk to you. We've been this far for days." He glared.
"And why do you think I want to change that." I murmured and walked away. "Just cmon I'm tired."
He drove me which was only like 20 feet from his carpark. Hey we're neighbors. That's why I didn't feel he should drive me as well. Not a point. And I hate building up a conversation where the only one who's being hurt is me.
"Let's go." He pulled my hands upstairs.
"Whoa whoa whoa. Who let you in? I don't want you here. Go."
"STOP IT, WOULD YOU?" Suddenly he screamed in my face.
"W.. wha... You rude." I rushed to leave him.
"Justine! Hey, please listen to me! I completely lost with what we have right now. I've been thinking for days, of what I might have done wrong to you. I'm tired to find the answer I didn't think I do! We're friends, for God's sake!"
This side of Toby I've never seen. He was upset. Throwing things up to the wall in my room. Gladly my parents weren't here, unless they would ask Toby out from the house. Now he left me breathless.
"I'm not interested to talk about anything. You better go home." I stood by the window, gave my back on him.
"Please... Please I beg you. I can't live with this." He spoke slower.
"Yeah? Then pretend like there isn't anything." I hid my tears stream.
"Who hurt you this bad?" Toby started to walk toward me.
You. It's you who hurt me this bad.
"Nobody. It's about nothing. Leave that question." I fake another strength. "How's she?"
"She's good." He gave up.
"Good." I nodded. "Keep her safe."
"I will..." He sniffed. "Do you have boyfriend?"
"Wait what?" I turned around. "Oh cmon you live literally next to me. Do I look like having a boyfriend?"
"Do I not know something? Because I want to know who he is." He stared ito my eyes.
I really tried so hard not to yell anymore lies. But I can't. It's already about it. All day everyday for the past 3 years. Too late to stop. Let's just make up another one.
"Actually..." I sit on my couch. "Probably one."
"Name?" Toby sit before me, listening carefully.
"Austin." Wow. How fake. Might as well just make up a name like Cody Simpson if that's not weird, Justine.
"This Austin guy, I know him?"
"Not really I guess." I shook my head.
"Since when?" He held my hands.
"Pretty much a month." I took them off from his hands.
"Wow...that's like long enough." I saw the disappointment in his eyes.
"Why bother to know? Jeez, you have Sheryl to work on." I chuckled.
"Is he a good guy? Does he ever treat you inappropriate?" He kept asking.
"Stop it Tobes. He's not." I walked back to the window. "We're...get along well."
"Oh."
"Satisfied?" I smirked.
"I still want to know everything about you. And this Austin guy." He replied slowly.
"No you won't. I got this. Stop worrying about me and focus on Sheryl."
"Hmm..."
He left it unfinished. But my make-up story was pretty good though. He's escaping his mind. Means it's working. He thought about possible Austin(s) he ever met in my life to guess which guy I'm with. Guess what. Even if he wrote down a hundred Austin(s), he would never find it. And you know why.
