Chapter 12: The questioning

Eren POV:
     Today we're going to question Annie. She's in the dungeon. Why would she do something like this? I sighed as I lazily finished adjusting the last strap on my uniform and walked out of the dingy cell I call my room. I walked up the stairs to breakfast. I ate the usual bread and pancakes with a side of potatoes. Why potatoes out of all he vegetables? Why not carrots? Or maybe even broccoli! But no, potatoes it is. I finished eating and walked down to the cell where Annie is being held. Levi and Commander Erwin was already there when I arrived. Annie had a blank look on her face.
"We're going to start the questioning. Lying will not be permitted and silence in not an acceptable answer. We will have Izuku Midoriya and Shota Aizawa here to overlook. Since Shota is a teacher, he has his methods to tell if you're lying or not. Izuku is here because... Well, I'm not sure, but he's here for some reason." Levi said to begin. I hadn't even noticed that Izuku and Shota were here. Aizawa as in the cell with Annie, and he had his hand feeling her pulse. "For the first question, are you a Titan shifter, if so, how?" Levi asked Annie.
Annie remained silent for a moment before answering with, "I am a Titan shifter. It's simple really, I ate the last female Titan."
I raised a brow at that and asked, "What do you mean, 'the last female Titan'?"
"Eren, you are not permitted to ask questions without direct permission from me, or Commander Erwin." Levi told me. "Is Annie lying?" He asked Aizawa.
"No, she doesn't seem to be lying." He answered.
"Good, now for the next question. Why did you do what you did?" Levi asked her.
"Orders." She answered.  Orders?  From who?
Annie POV (bet you weren't expecting that.):
     They are questioning me.  I'm answering honestly.  Why?  I'm not too keen on dying today. 
     "Is she lying?" Levi asked the hobo-looking man.  He's the one keeping track of my pulse.
     "No." He answered him.
     "Alright, next question.  Who are your orders from?" He asked.  I was expecting this, but I don't want to answer.  I kept quiet. "Answer the question, Annie." Levi said sternly. I just revealed that there is other Titan shifters, isn't that enough?
I sighed and said, "No, I won't answer the question." I need a defense mechanism, and fast. I can tell that Captain Levi is getting annoyed by my resistance. I brought the crystal-like substance that I call a shield over my body, and let myself drift unconscious.
3rd person POV:
     The people near Annie were surprised with the sudden protection over herself.  Aizawa almost got his arm stuck in the shield. 
     "Great, we just lost someone valuable." Eren said disappointedly.  He did care for his friend, but she also killed people, and not just one person either.  She killed multiple people.  She even knows that the human race is suffering, and she still killed them.  Eren had mixed emotions, sadness and anger, sad because looking back on all the times she would help him train, and mad because she knows better and shouldn't have killed so many people.
     "I'll try to get this shield open." Deku said while charging up his quirk.  Green lightening danced about on his body.  He went towards the shield and punched it with 15% of his power.  Not even a crack was inflicted on the crystalline shell.  He went a bit higher to 20% and still nothing.  As he kept raising the power with no results, it seemed perilous in the effort wasted.  Deku began reflecting on his mistakes.  His first mistake that led him here was using 100% right off the bat in the common room that night.  He should have taken it slower.  Although his wounds have basically been healed, he would have rather going to training camp.  Since his body adjusted to healing quickly because of Recovery Girl, his body heals faster, not as fast as with recovery girl, but still quickly.  Even at 55% nothing happened, and his arm was getting sore, so he decided to stop.  Deku sighed and shook his head in disapproval in himself.  "It doesn't seem to be getting anywhere.  I haven't even inflicted a scratch on it." He said to them while leaving the dungeon. 
     "I'm glad you're taking into account your bones this time, problem child." Aizawa joked with the broccoli boy.  He nodded absentmindedly, agreeing with the teacher, and unfortunately missing the joke.  The air was thick with something unidentifiable.  It felt heavy, but light at the same time.  Cheerful, yet dark and malicious.  Deku traveled out to the garden.  The warm sun beat down on him, along with a light breeze, creating the perfect temperature.  That was all ruined when a purple streaked the sky, and opened in what seemed to be a portal. 
     "Momo, Jirou!" Shouted a blonde tuft of hair as it came crashing to the ground, along with a heap of purple and black hair. 
     "I'm ok." Jirou said as she tried to sit up, unfortunately something was weighing her down.  She saw that Momo was laying on her. 
     "Oh... um... sorry, Jirou." Momo said while getting off of her.  A deep blush stained both of their faces. 
     "Midoriya, why are you here?" Denki asked the broccoli boy watching from the side.  Denki was laying down, and Shinsou clung to him like a koala. 
     "Hard to explain, but we've been here for like a week.  We as in, Kaachan, Todoroki, Aizawa, and I." Deku answered. 
     "Baby, can you let go? I have to stand up."  Denki told his purple haired boyfriend.
     "Fine... only because you asked so nicely." Shinsou answered while letting go, and getting up.
     "I'm sorry." Denki said while kissing his boyfriends cheeks.
     "Y'all really out here making me feel single." Jirou said.  Little did she know that her black-haired friend had a massive crush on her, and would be willing to date her if she just said the word. 
     "We should go to Aizawa." Momo suggested, distracting her wandering mind.  The group nodding in agreement and went on a hunt to find their teacher.
