" you got that power over me "

⚜️

| Diana La Rossi |

Our breathing slowed and I huffed before taking a step back, twirling the knife in my hand. Allesandro watched me quietly, his eyes holding a calm gaze despite the fact that my knife was digging into his skin earlier.

"Alessandro De Moretti," I whisper, his name sour on my tongue. Yet you could almost say that it sounded like like a unique sound, a calm special sound.

"Diana La Rossi," he spoke my name, and I snapped my head up. "It was a pleasure meeting you. After all, you were hidden as well. Surprised to see you finally got to see the world outside of your walls."

I clenched my jaw and frowned at him. "If you are referring to me like an animal, do expect to walk outside with a missing limb. However, I cannot run late, which means our goodbyes should be kept short. As far as I'm aware you are hunting the same target as me?" I raise my eyebrows, and he clenched his jaw. I take that as a yes.

"Then I prefer for you to get the hell away from him. Interfering with my job won't end well for you, or your dear family. I will keep things civilised, as long as you don't try to sabotage or harm me. As soon as I know that you sabotaged me or made a move on my target, I will shoot you, and I won't get be so generous," I held his gaze, and he willingly held mine as well. I strapped my knife back into my boot and arranged my skirt, before turning and leaving without another word.

And as I walked out of the room, I felt his gaze pierce my back. I couldn't walk very far, however, because the manager waved me over. A small bundle of money was in his hands, and he said something before handing it to me. I nodded and grabbed it, smiling at him as I began walking out.

€700.

That's how much I earned from two dances and one small dance at the beginning. I shoved them into my bra before adjusting my mic, and Sofia's sigh came trough as I walked out the doors.

"Thank god you are still alive," she sighed, and I laughed.

"Is there anyone following me?"

"No, you are clear. Take the long path however. Also, that threat? It was something else. I have no idea how you dealt with it so well, but I'm so glad you are alright."

"Thank you, Sofia. Have you got any intel on him?" I ask, taking a sharp turn, arriving at the elevator. I walk in and press the button, waiting as it begins going up. When it arrives on our floor, I step out and open the door, greeting an excited Sofia, which wraps her arms around me and buries her face into the crook of my neck. I laugh and pat her shoulder, shrugging her off.

"I'm still alive, aren't I?" I laughed, and she nodded.

"Next time, no more rooms without cameras. Agreed?" she asks, and I nod. "Perfect. From the very small contact and closeness, I got some bits from his phone that weren't as protected. Bits such as phone numbers and a location, which wasn't secured. It's where one of his last shipments were sent, but he changed the place."

I nod. "We could go check it out, ask around. One of his men would be there, and if we can get information on the next shipment then we can interfere and stop it, making ourselves known. With the right plan, he wouldn't know who we are, which means he will be more panicked and rush. Easier access to getting into his house as a simple girl he can get his release on."

Sofia nodded. "I will get the location of the last shipment, while you make dinner?" her lips quirked up, and I laughed at her expression.

"Sure," I nodded at her, and she gave me a small smile before walking to her room, while I walked to my own. I quickly changed into sweatpants and a tank top before tying my hair up and removing any makeup. I hurried to the kitchen and washed my hands before getting out the ingredients.
